I get it — you’re trying to make your money back after spending on ads to get people in the door. Totally fair.

But if the first thing you do is hit me with an ad for ads right after wave one, you’re going to lose the players most likely to actually pay.

People who spend money on games tend to not tolerate that kind of pressure right away — they close the app and move on. Which is what I did.

Let me enjoy the game for even 10 minutes before asking for something. If you ever change that approach, I’ll gladly revisit my rating. Until then, it feels more like getting sand in my eye than playing a game.

Fun to play

but too much gameplay is locked behind a paywall. There is a way to keep IAPs to cosmetics, and a way to keep ads short and unobtrusive, neither of which is happening here.

It feels like the base game is unfinished.

Also, the last round I played reached a point where the game displayed only a frame or two every few seconds, being more or less frozen for seconds at a time. I suspect this is from too many projectiles being on screen. Being able to go into the options and simply turn off the display and of specific projectiles could possibly help this issue. In other words, being able to make certain weapon projectiles- (bullets, lighting bolts, etc) invisible may help.

Unsure

I’d like to think this game is good and play more of it but everything is too hard to read. It’s too dark and the font is too small.

Wouldn’t mind a tutorial but make a quick and simple one

Too many add

I know add is needed in any game, but popup a 30s can’t skip add even when i haven’t completed the tuorial ? (It maybe like 60 second after i start the game first time). I delete the game before the add completed, too bad for a god game like this.

Amazing Game that has Massive Potential

I have been playing this game ever since it released to the App Store and I have loved the absolute chaos the game can become. Some runs you get everything you need for your star run and sometimes you have to improvise with something new. This game is a must for anyone who likes games that are never the same. I would give a suggestion for there to be an sandbox for testing new strategies and more settings for endless. Thank you FVS for making this game.
Sincerely,
Fenrir Starknight

Developer Listens

Old reviews giving this a low score was before the last couple updates.

This dev listens to feedback. This dev cares about their game. The ads aren’t as in your face as previous reviews say, feels like a regular amount for a phone game now.

While I think there still is more that can be improved and added, I can’t complain when I see a dev respond to feedback and do their best to improve.

Previous reviewers should revisit and consider if they should change the review, since their criticism may no longer be accurate. That’s what I’ve had to do, and am happy to do so.

Unreadably small text

I cant see anything with the font size and color for any of the upgrades at all.

Too many ads

PPLEASEEEEEE make it so you get 2x more ads than you already get would make the game much better since that’s all it is

Premium Just Hides Ads, No Rewards

So, I’m one of the suckers that put money into this because u liked the premise and think there’s something here that could grow and get better. But I have a couple of sticking points that are bugging me.

First is the title of this. Typically, when you pay for premium, you don’t simply no longer see the ad offering, but you are able to get the reward being offered without watching an ad. The way you made this game in the higher difficulties is such that you want the small bits of extra cash offered for watching an ad. Now, I’m not given the bit of cash, it’s just not offered, which gives the advantage to someone not paying, since they can still get the reward. That’s a little funny to me.

The second is the rogue progression. You give *very little* tower points, then make upgrades…more…expensive, per tower perk used? Why? You’re hardly giving any benefit as is, but now making it even more difficult? Are you worried about scaling? It’s very weird. The game feels like it taunts the idea of rogue-lite, but secretly wants to be straight rogue. Gotta pick a lane, friend.

If things improve, I’ll update my review

Good game

I love this game and I’m glad the developers removed some of the ads however I feel the price of premium still is slightly high for a TD game..

Paid $10 for a game that STILL has ads.

See above.

I bet u had high hopes

I bet u had high hopes that this was going to be a popular hit! More like popular garbage

Not great

UI is bad, gameplay is bad, ads in the middle of a game, dev knows they don’t have to do this and can make money the same devs have done for decades without intrusive ads or bad gameplay. Shows where the devs priorities really are. I mean look at the all the other cash grab games they have on the AppStore.

Not bad of a game 6/10

Game is ok. Got boring after one win but it was still fun. There is not much gameplay if you do auto skills you just watch. When u level up u can pick upgrades and you can spend money in the show for more upgrades and you just repeat. I did see some person mention of 30 sec ad which seems like they got unlucky, because for me i watched only 5 sec ads after every wave so every about 2 minutes which is not that bad to be honest. Definitely not worth the 10 dollars. Id pay maybe 2-4 dollars for premium.

Tons of ads

The game is ok, but after playing for less than 30 seconds, I get a 10-15 second ad. Every, single, time. It took forever to play one game because of this. They really pressure you into pay $9.99 for the ā€œpremiumā€ version that takes away the ads and gives other benefits that you can’t get in the free version.

I’m not sure there is enough here to warrant that price tag. There isn’t even any progression between games, so there is a big piece of the rogue mechanics.

Maybe I’ll revisit the game after some updates have been done to it.

Had high hopes but not worth the download currently

From needing to watch a ad after every wave (usually its 5 seconds but you get some that are way more), to constant crashes and bugs. Then the audacity to ask for money for a ā€œpremium versionā€. If the whole game was free with ads after 10 waves it would be a great mobile game with future bug fixes but as of now i wouldnt waste another minute on this dumpster fire. (Shame on you for making me believe that this was another good mobile game that was interested in being fun not making money)

Decent but way too many ads

There is a ad in between every wave and the waves only last 30 seconds that is insanely overkill so that basically makes one full game 20 ads wow lol

Why did i pay $10 for a game that still has ads in it?

Phuck outta here.
