Almost a hit.
I’ve been looking for a game like Foundation. Still needs work. Screen reseting every season is annoying. Building with touchscreen needs improvement, things just don’t go where you want them to go. Menu system is difficult to navigate. Something as easy as showing the population to housing ratio would be nice. Crashing multiple times, losing my progress and starting over.
I think the one thing that annoyed me the most was to constantly having to repair the buildings. Once you get so many buildings up a running, you pretty much use all your money repairing buildings.

Could be really fun but it’s not
It doesn’t give good advice and it throws to much at you to fast without explaining what you need to do. There’s a lot of instruction and I read a lot but it doesn’t really help you actually play effectively. It just becomes really frustrating really fast. Plus it moves the building every time you reload and some buildings disappear with no explanation and others get burned down without you having any chance to stop it. Just overall would not play again but it has really good potential. Who knows maybe I just didn’t play it correctly.

Really love how this game combines building, production, and storytelling. Love that you can play different stories in the scenarios and special campaigns.
Unexpectedly good (for me)
I wasn’t sure about this game at first because of the reviews, but now that I’ve completed both campaigns (the tutorial and The Seaside Empire) along with all the scenarios, I have to say—I really enjoyed it! It didn’t grab me right away, but once I finished the tutorial campaign, I found myself totally hooked.
I’d say, if you’re on the fence, give it a shot. At the end of the day, whether a game is ‘good’ or not is highly subjective—so the best way to know is to try it for yourself!

Tutorial is bad
This game has one of the worst tutorials ever.

It really needs new stuff please :( good game but after 5 years from the OG developer, and 2 from Netflix, something new is needed.

If a game lets you place buildings where you want, you’d think it’d actually keep them where YOU placed them. I was mildly enjoying this until I realized it moved where I placed buildings. I rarely leave reviews, but this disgusted me so much I had to leave one.

Wouldn’t even load.
Downloaded it through the Netflix app & it always instantly crashes. Been trying to play it for like a year now but reading all the other reviews, it doesn’t seem like I’m missing out on much lol.
Do not update
I just lost all my progress when I downloaded the update, hoping they might have added some new scenarios, nope just took away the months of progress I had earned. I have really enjoyed playing this game, and maybe with the next update I can give this a better rating.
A Worse Reiteration
One thing this version has going for it, I love how the stats are laid out for each building and the possible revenue from individual building to the full town. It’s nice to have new buildings. That’s where the good stuff ends. 1. The user interface is horrible. It’s impractical and icons are so small, you can’t really see when the Trader comes in. I believe the old app had a swoosh starry feature. It’s grabs your attention. On the plus side, the icons telling you the issues are helpful…but I can see them getting annoying when the town gets bigger. Missing grape juice, missing ale, the warehouse is full…etc. 2. I understand you don’t want the same product…but moving buildings around is impractical when they have specific categories. 3. It took a bit to find out how much things cost…because it’s not in the purchase pop-up. You have to look at your total revenue bar at the top. 4. The pop-ups for buildings, building needs, method to view current quests to fulfill (this needs to be rapid or your goods get taken into different buildings), the location of information, most of it is just trash and not user friendly. It almost seems like the intent was to have a PC feel with limited attention to details given. In other words, great detail on adding stats but what happened to all the other valuable info? 5. The main menu continue automatically goes to your last saved game. Need I say more if you have multiple locations? 6. When placing items down, it doesn’t always register that you are placing or moving things. In this view, you can’t zoom in or out, good luck getting buildings in the right place. Removing also can be tricky as it will almost always remove part of a road if you select multiple items. 7. The roads are ridiculous! Aside from accidentally removing a road, not being able to zoom in while adding, but then the accuracy of the two arrows to create a road are highly inaccurate. Whereas in the old version, the arrow would at least pop up to the next available area, even if it created an alternate route, this version can have an arrow in a location that isn’t able to have road without the suggestion of the nearest location.***To Be Honest, This Seems Like A Beta Project***rather then a finished product. You all took a few steps back on this app.
