Disappointed1

Not very user friendly to download footage. Would also really help if there was a push notification to your mobile if an event occurred while the vehicle was parked so you could quickly attend to it. Sadly, expected more considering the price paid for the product.

Cannot Connect

No network showing. Then, when it finally does show. I use the prescribed password and it won’t connect. This product is not user friendly or intuitive at all.. I do love how neatly it was installed, useless, but neat.

iPhone 16 & iOS 18 - wifi connecting to dash camera

I cannot connect via wifi setting with the latest iPhone and iOS. I have to use my previous iPhone on older version of iOS.

Other than this issue, the app meets my needs when I can connect 🙂

Bis mistake to install it

I got my prado on 3rd of December, they charged for $650 but it didn’t work yet. I been to dealership twice but they don’t have any solution.
Waste of money . Very annoying and disappointed

Note to app developer

As you can see from the reviews, this app needs to be updated when iOS is updated. Does not work with iOS 18. I have to get out an old iPhone running an earlier version of iOS if I want to view anything from the camera.

Terrible app

Dashcam itself is great. App is unusable. Rarely connects to the Dashcam meaning no videos are accessible unless one buys an SD adapter to load them onto a computer. Not as advertised, extremely frustrating.

avoid - better after market products

if you are one that needs to work hard with anger management - best to avoid this product. as a few have said here, missed opportunity by Toyota to fully integrate this. In simply terms, the product is a mid to lower range camera system at a premium price. The software is several years behind the after market systems available in Australia.

Where is Support for this app?

The app was working fine up to IOS16 but now crashes. The problem is, there is no way of provding feedback to the developers and there is little informatio on the web. The last update was many years ago. Website links are only to buying a car not supporting the app.....very disappointing!!

Not working at all

Tried many times to open in my phone, it turns off and shuts down on its own. Please update, change or might shut it down for good.

Keeps Crashing with iphone14max

This app is crashing..
As soon as i launch the app, it closes..
Is there any other app that i can use to view the recordings???
Or there any other way to access the recordings??

App Will not open.

When I first downloaded this app it worked ok but was very clunky and prone to crashes, I updated the iPhone iOS and now the app will not open at all, the app needs to be updated, is this going to happen? Does anyone look after this app?
I really do want to use this app on my Toyota installed dash cam.

Give up…

Couple of attempts to get the app to actually stay open, software is a very weak point for toyota it seems… I won’t be bothered with the other “owner” apps as this isn’t my first rodeo with these. Ripped the genuine dashcam out the moment i got home and installed my BlackVue 2ch 900X and what do you know, it works 🤪

Wont even load

You pay a premium for a genuine Toyota dash cam, only to find a few years down the track the app doesn’t even load. There have been a few iOS updates since the last app update to iOS 12. Not good enough Toyota.

App is ok, but quite clunky

This app will get you by in a pinch. Connection to the camera is not always stable.

The wWindows software downloaded from the i-serv website has a heap of bugs in it, the main one being time zones. The app correctly displays the time your video was captured, the Windows Software only allows you to choose North American timelines meaning all my videos are presented on screen at bizarres times. I can’t seem to export a video easily and typically trawl through Windows Explorer looking for the correct file.

So overall, the Toyota DASHCAM experience is pretty average.

App Not Working

App not connecting to camera through wifi even when camera is already connected to phone with wifi. Please update the App

Room for improvement

The dash cam works great and I don’t regret buying it, but for the price tag you would expect the app functionality and connectivity to be better. The only way you can view your recordings is by sitting in the car as the dash cam has its own wifi and needs to be turned on in order to connect. Trying to connect is often very slow and sometimes causes the app to crash. Once it’s loaded and working properly it’s great, but you can’t view anything unless you’re in the car, even after downloading clips which can be frustrating. Hoping Toyota is able to improve and update this.

Didn’t record a hit and run

I was sitting in our friends house and heard a crash out front, looked out and saw a car drive forward and then reverse straight back into my car. Both times my car was hit, made enough noise that brought the neighbours out onto the street.

After connecting to the “app”, the only thing it recorded was me getting into the car afterwards.

$500 for this. Not happy.

Easy & simple to use

The best dash cam I ever bought!

Terrible product

Such a missed opportunity here. We paid $500 for this genuine Toyota dashcam, hoping it would be a better experience than an aftermarket one, as Toyota could theoretically integrate it with the Infotainment system, and potentially all the other safety cameras surrounding the car.... but no. Nothing of the sort. The only why the camera is integrated into the car is to power it. It only connects to the phone via its own WiFi, which is the dumbest possible way to connect it, because it keeps disconnecting, and when it disconnects, the app crashes too, because the app needs to maintain a constant connection to the device in order to operate. So many poor choices here by the Toyota team. Not something I would expect from them.

Dash Cam

Takes a bit of time to work out.
I had to delete App then reinstall and was then able to access footage on my iPhone. You have to be connected to wifi soif turn you engine off it closes connection.
I’ll have to read the book in full.
Also in the app I had to put the right time zone otherwise it’s set in eastern states zone.
Overall I’m so far happy and like the idea it’s running when car is parked in public.
