Disappointed

Several times I make a scan and it gives me the wrong information. I wish I would not have accidentally renewed this for one year after the trial. I don’t believe it is right for the type of things I’m collecting it seems very narrow.

Currency

Can we have pounds added to the app.

Inaccurate

Just downloaded, first scan of my 2018 Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary RLC set, says it’s a 30th anniversary set, worth $100-300. Last three on eBay sold for OVER $2,900!, cancelling a.s.a.p.!

Great for what it is

Pretty simple to use: take a picture of a collectible, the app consults the internet, and provides you with general data about the item you took a picture of. You’ll get data such as market value, why the item is valued as it is, and basic information about the item itself. For a growing collection, and you’re not sure what you have, you can search within the collection for specific characters, cars, or what have you; which I thought was pretty cool.

It’s a great start but I feel like the app needs more polishing done before I can fully commit to a yearly membership. I paid a dollar for the Gold membership trial for a month and I’m not impressed on day one. For starters, there is no way to filter your collection, at this time. If you have hot wheels, action figures and comic books, there’s no way to filter which part of the collection you want to look at to determine which parts of the collection have more value; no breakdown of how many diecast cars, action figure, etc. are within the collection. Just total things acquired and total item types. A filter and data specific to each collection type would be amazing. There also is not a way to export the collection data outside of the app; would love to have this feature even if all it does is itemize what one has in their collection without any of the fancy AI data.

While I can see myself primarily using this app for determining the value of collectibles while on the hunt, I would not recommend the app for those that want to have digital organization to their collection(s). It’s a great tool, but more organization within the app is still needed, in my opinion.

My wife now understands…..

She thought I was crazy amassing Hot Wheels, then she saw the info on the ToyWorth. She saw the collection actually has value now.
