The Taipingshan Medical Heritage Trail is designed and established in 2011 by the
Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences as a historical walking trail in Taipingshan
(TPS) District as well as the neighbouring Sai Ying Pun District, the earliest districts in
Hong Kong reserved for the Chinese population to reside in.
The Taipingshan Medical Heritage Trail App is supported by Wellcome Trust in
United Kingdom as part of the ‘Contagious Cities’ Project. This app will guide you
through the 16 medical relics that existed before and after the first plague outbreak
of 1894.
