An intriguing challenge

Really enjoyed this, struggled at first to understand it but read some reviews - stick with it and it falls into place very quickly what you should be doing. From then on I was hooked! Love the story too. One for the codebreakers.

Intuitive and enjoyable

Somewhat slow start until I understood the mechanics and the coding that began to take on more clarity as I found more clues..The multiple endings threw me since I thought I had found the solution that benefitted the scenario but then found it was a fail? wasnt a hard fix but it did confuse and frustrate me at first.. Only criticism I have is the AMOUNT of books, much of it seemed useless or at the most a distraction. The tension was there at times and the situation of the timeline/identity reveal was hinted at in several locations but still had an added twist..A very refreshing enjoyable experience in puzzle games for the iOS, intuitive on a challenging level but not impossible to work through.

Text too tiny

This is largely a text reading game, but the text is so small I can't read it. Especially on the machine that is a central focus of the game where the text is yellow on yellow. Feel like i just wasted 7 bucks.

Fantastique !

Un jeu passionnant avec une ambiance prenante. Difficile de décrocher.

Abbi

“Abbi! Abbi! Talk to me Abbi! Abbi Abbi! Abbi! Abbi talk to me Abbi! Abbi!”
5 seconds in and I already want to punch this guy. Calm down. I’ll talk to you after I look around.

Too small on iPhone

You have to read tiny text on a flickering, jittery screen that's much smaller than your phone's screen; it's just too much eye strain for me. Not to mention that I have more important things to do with my mind than try to solve contrived puzzles. Deleted and going to request a refund through the App Store (you can do that, y'know).

A real brain game

This game is not for the faint hearted. You have to read. Pay attention. Make deductions. Channel your inner Bletchley park analyst. You are only fighting for reality itself.

Bestimmt gut, stürzt aber ab

UPDATE:
ok, now my iPad isn’t compatible anymore.
would have been nice if you, inkle, had figuered that out BEFORE I gave you my money.
so now only 1 star because of this.
very annoying.
sorry.

Schade,

Upside down with controller

Love the game but wish I could use with my backbone controller. But as said in another review, the game defaults to the wrong horizontal. Mad to me that it can’t switch. The backbone controls seem great but it’s upside down.

Enjoyable concept and puzzle

Spent about an hour with it each evening for 1-2 weeks. Great concept and exploration. In the end the solution and resolution is disappointing.

Irritating

I want to like it but just the first few minutes are unbelievably annoying. 'liam' every few seconds "abbi", "abbi", I just want to scream at him to shut the feck up and leave me alone.
If you can stick with it then it is a wonderful game, I just hope they cut down (or remove) the opening part.

Absolute masterpiece

I don’t know how to do this game justice, at times it baffles me at how incredible it is and how much work it must have taken. I absolutely adore working things out myself and joining clues together and this game excels at this. It is intriguing, clever and thought provoking. I loved “her story “ but that game was a warm up compared to this. The atmosphere and narration are brilliant. I don’t want it to end, I think I’ve worked it out but may have missed something so il definitely be replaying when finished.

What is happening?

This is great. You are supposed to be confused. Persevere!

No sound

I have the subtitles but can’t get sound to work at all. Restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled..

A satisfying associative puzzler

I really enjoyed piecing my way through the world of TR-49. If you like deductive games like Type Help or Return of the Obra Dinn, I think you'd enjoy this one as well. It feels right at home on iPad: swiping through files and operating the machine is super satisfying. The story works its way into your mind, and I find myself thinking about it long after I've finished. I made my way to an ending in an evening, like a novella I couldn't put down.

Missing Cloud Saves

Interesting game so far, but could you please add the support for cloud saves? Would love to switch between iPhone and iPad to play this.

Baffling then engrossing

I almost gave up ten minutes in. Really, really glad I stuck it out. A great, slow burning story with two standout voice actors.

Upside down

I wanted to like this, but a sort-of-minor-but-actually-surprisingly-frustrating bug is that it will only display in one orientation. It won’t flip when the phone flips. Not horizontal/vertical - that’s understandable - the game is presumably designed to be played widescreen. But it won’t let me hold my phone the comfortable way round. Silly, trivial, minor, I should get over it? Sure. It’s still more fundamental and annoying than even I expected.

Drains iPad Pro battery

Will update the review when the battery issue has been fixed. 50 per cent lost in 20 minutes is not good.
