About

A spark racing a live circuit board, and one tap between you and the short. Trace is a one-touch arcade runner set on a scrolling PCB. The spark rides one of two parallel copper rails while the board streams past and steadily accelerates. Your only verb is a tap — it flips the spark to the other rail, a gravity-swap you'll time to the millisecond. The board is out to fry you. Axial resistors and electrolytic capacitors stand on the rails; glistening red solder blobs short you on contact; and the copper itself breaks in ragged gaps you have to be on the OTHER rail to clear. Thread all of it by flipping at the last instant, and the line reads like a clean signal path snaking through the components. Charge is the reward for greed. Mint charge pips sit on the rails; collect them without a miss and your combo multiplier climbs, so a fast, precise line banks charge far quicker than a cautious one. Break the chain and the multiplier resets to one. The further you push, the faster the board scrolls — distance is the whole score. • One touch — tap anywhere to flip the spark to the other rail • Dodge resistors, capacitors and red solder-blob shorts • Cross trace gaps by being on the solid rail • Consecutive charge pips build a rising combo multiplier • The board accelerates the further you get • Best distance and total charge saved on device • Reduce-motion toggle for a calmer board • Fully offline, no account, nothing collected Flip the rail. Ride the trace.
