It is insane that schools have now resorted to physically tracing students with horribly optimized apps that drain battery life and invade privacy standards. If schools are truly concerned about stopping the spread of COVID-19, they should close entirely without the restrictions that are authoritarian at best. I respect the founders of this app for committing to a standard of not sharing their information with advertisers, however their security could easily be breached along with the precise data. Contact trace and delete your account if you’re uncomfortable with your data being collected.

Spams With Notifications
I turned my gps and Bluetooth off because I was off campus and Trace spammed me with notifications that were extremely irritating. Not to mention that every time a notification popped up, more of my battery life that was already being consumed by the app running in the background, it would drain my battery. This app also forces users to accept its disturbingly invasive privacy policies by marketing their product to schools as a tool for campus safety. 100% do not recommend.

I was required to download this app for school. It collects an obscene amount of data for what the app does. Do not download.

I honestly feel a lot safer teaching every day with this app. It’s not a fun app, but that’s not the point-- I don’t spend any time using it beyond turning it on and off, but it keeps our campus safe from a spread and that’s what’s important

Truly awful app. Wish I could put 0 stars. About as responsive as a phone call with my hard of hearing grandpa. Hard to use and drains battery incredibly (and I mean this word literally, as in I Can’t Believe a professional team created an app so incompatible with an iPhone) fast. Keep it up
