About

Know what's really happening on your network. TraceWaves gives you clear visibility into your Wi-Fi, the Bluetooth devices around you, and your local network — and grades what it finds. On Mac, TraceWaves discovers every access point in range. On iPhone and iPad it inspects the network you're connected to, because iOS doesn't let apps list other networks. To see nearby networks there, pair an optional external scanner. No account is required: scans run on your device and stay there. WHAT YOU GET • Wi-Fi Analysis — SSID, BSSID, signal (dBm), band, channel, security mode and vendor. On Mac, watch every nearby access point live and see channel congestion. • External Scanner (iPhone and iPad) — Pair a scanner over Bluetooth or your local network, such as a laptop or Raspberry Pi running the free TraceWaves scanner program, to list nearby networks and save them as a session. A scanner only lists networks; it never joins one. • Bluetooth LE — Nearby devices with name, signal, proximity estimate and manufacturer. • Security Grades — Every access point gets an A–F grade based on encryption, protocol age, configuration and known vulnerabilities. Open and WEP networks always grade F. • CVE Matching — Known vulnerabilities from the NVD with CVSS scores and CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities flags. • Connection Checks — Gateway reachability, DNS resolution and integrity, captive portal detection, HTTPS/TLS and latency. • Network Analyzer — Interfaces, IPv4/IPv6 and DHCP details, and services advertised on your network. An optional Gateway Port Check is off by default and runs only after you confirm you're authorized to test the network. • Forensics — Record scan sessions, save baselines, compare them, review a timeline of findings, set alert rules, and build tamper-evident case bundles with SHA-256 hashes and digital signatures. • Evidence Journal — Log findings with time, optional location, severity and notes. Export to JSON or CSV. • Themes — Radar, Night Vision, Prism, Daylight, Color-Blind Safe, High Contrast and System. PRIVACY No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Scan results stay on your device. Sign-in (Apple, Google, Microsoft, GitHub, passkey or email link) is optional and only used to sync your journal, sessions, baselines, findings, rules and settings between your devices. Cases sync only if you turn that on for a case. Sign-in methods that prove the same email address open the same account. Delete your account at any time from Settings. RESPONSIBLE USE TraceWaves is a passive analysis tool. It doesn't capture traffic, crack passwords or attack networks. Only test networks you own or are authorized to assess. Made by Ægyrix, LLC.
