Summit is a climbing log designed for peak-baggers, highpointers, and mountaineers. It allows you to log every summit you've reached, visualize your progress on a 3D globe, and track specific challenges like the Seven Summits and US state high points.
Yes, Summit works entirely offline. The entire database of over 500,000 peaks across 222 countries is bundled within the app, meaning you don't need a signal to log your climbs.
Summit offers tracking for two legendary challenges: the Seven Summits (including both Oceania variants) and all 50 US state high points. Denali counts towards both challenges.
Summit is private by design. It requires no accounts, no cloud sync, and no external servers. Your climbing history stays exclusively on your device, and the app never asks for your location.
Summit Pro unlocks features such as adding photos to your climbs, all 14 globe and map view styles, state and province-level tracking, custom goals, home screen widgets, and custom highlight and border colors.
Summit Pro is available via subscription at $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Both options include a 7-day free trial. The core app remains free with unlimited climbs and the full peak database.
Based on the provided data, Summit is currently supported on iPhones.
The latest version of Summit was released on August 27, 2026, indicating recent development activity. The app was initially released on August 17, 2026.
