About
A trademark registration is not kept by paying a fee once. Between the fifth and sixth year, and again every ten years, the owner must file a declaration of use, and an application on its way to registration has its own dates: a response to an Office action, an opposition period, a statement of use. Miss one and the USPTO cancels or abandons the mark, and its own reminders, it says, do not excuse a missed filing.
Trademark Almanac keeps those dates for you, from the USPTO's own record.
Add a mark by its number. Type a serial or registration number and the app fetches the public USPTO record, reads its history, and computes every deadline the rules attach to it.
See the arithmetic. Every date shows the steps that produced it, the day the USPTO would still accept the filing, the grace period with its surcharge, and the regulation quoted in its own words.
Be reminded on every device. Reminders at the lead times you choose, on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, and a notice the moment a refresh finds the USPTO record changed.
Keep your own record. Mark a deadline done, silence one, add your own dates, keep notes and a docket number, and keep dated photographs of the mark in use for the day a declaration comes round.
Your calendar and your files. Add deadlines to your calendar, or export them as a calendar file. The docket report prints or saves as PDF and CSV.
One portfolio on all your devices. Your marks sync through your own iCloud account. There is no account with us and no server that holds your data.
Try it first. The example portfolio is always available, free, with no account, so you can see every kind of deadline before you decide.
Free for 14 days, no payment method needed. Add your own marks and you have full access for a fortnight without entering a card.
Subscriptions. After that, Owner is $34.99 per year for up to ten marks; Practice is $149.99 per year for unlimited marks, the docket report, CSV and calendar-file export, and the option to use your own USPTO key. Each renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. If you decide not to subscribe, everything you entered stays readable and exportable; adding and changing marks, checking the USPTO and reminders stop.
Trademark Almanac states what the USPTO's rules say happens on which date, and shows its work. It does not file anything with the USPTO, does not search or clear marks, and is not legal advice.
