TrailOps is the trip planner for people who drive dirt. Add the places you are going, in order, and the app works out the rest: the road route between them, the drive time, what each stop is, what needs booking or buying before you leave, and where you might want to sleep on a long day. Build a route in minutes Tap Home for where you leave from, then type a few letters of each place and pick it from the list. Every stop is a row with the drive into it along real roads, distance and time included. Make a campground your base camp and the stops after it become day trips, lettered under the camp and driven out and back, so the distance and the drive time are the ones you will actually do. A long driving day says so and offers a night on the way. Four areas, in the order a trip happens Every op is one screen with four tiles: Route, Before You Go, On The Trail and Wrap-Up. Each tile says where it stands and the line above them names the one thing to do next, so you always know what is left. Know what each stop needs Tell TrailOps a stop is a campground, a trailhead, a fuel stop, a permit office, or several of those at once, and it fills Before You Go: reserve the site, buy the pass, pay the camping fee, pick up firewood locally. Items carry a due date and turn red when they slip. Campground facts come from recreation.gov's own site records, with a link to the booking page. Tick an item on the stop or on Before You Go; it is the same item. Find what is along the way From any stop, find trails, fuel, food and supplies, water, permits, camping and lodging, brews and spirits, and medical help nearby, and attach the ones you want. On the Route Map, Find Nearby searches where you will be and Add Stop slots a find into the route between the two stops it sits between. Get ready A readiness checklist covers vehicle, gear, navigation, comms, safety and weather, plus a packing list you build from templates. On the trail Check in with one tap: all clear, stopped for a meal, stopped for the night, stuck, or an alert, with your position. Share your live position with your crew through a private link. Set a Back By watch, and if you miss it someone gets an email with your last position and the crew link. Sharing ends with the trip and never runs longer than 24 hours. Mark each leg reached, log pins and hazards, report trail conditions for the next person, and record Breadcrumbs of where you have been. Works with no signal Trips, stops, notes, checklists and Glovebox files live on your phone. Road routes are kept with the op the first time they are drawn. Topographic and aerial maps come from the US Geological Survey and can be saved ahead of time for the whole route in one tap. Export any op as GPX for Gaia GPS, onX Offroad, CalTopo or a Garmin. The Glovebox keeps permits, passes and confirmations one tap away, signal or not. Wrap it up Capture lessons learned by voice or by typing, and mark the op done. No account. No ads. No analytics. Your data stays on your phone, and Delete My Data in Settings removes all of it.
