About

Train Libre is a private, open-source workout and nutrition tracker for people who want serious logging without giving up control of their data. It is offline-first: no account, no social feeds, no gamification, no ads, and no commercial tracking or data selling. Track your workouts, calories, bodyweight, and muscle recovery in one focused app, with secure local storage and optional Apple Health integration. WHY TRAIN LIBRE IS DIFFERENT: • Offline-First: No account and no network connection required. Your training and nutrition data stays in your device's sandbox. • Privacy by Design: No ads, no ad trackers, no session recording, no user profiles. Usage statistics are optional and off by default — they never contain health data or your IP address, and you can turn them off and request erasure at any time. • Structured Gym Tracking: Built for progressive overload and rigorous logging, not addictive engagement hooks. • Transparent Analytics: Understand your long-term physical trends through clear, math-based insights. KEY FEATURES: 1. ADVANCED WORKOUT LOGGING • Log workouts set by set, including warm-ups, working sets, failure sets, and dropsets. • Track precise metrics: reps, weight, and RPE / RIR (Rate of Perceived Exertion / Reps in Reserve). • Build reusable routines, add custom exercises, and review your full session history. • Attach up to 4 photos to any session, taken with the camera or picked from your library, and keep them in your backups. 2. SCIENCE-BASED NUTRITION & TDEE • Log meals, calories, macronutrients, hydration, caffeine, creatine, and custom supplements. • Adaptive Energy Expenditure Engine: a Kalman filter-based Bayesian TDEE estimator calculates your true maintenance calories dynamically from your actual scale weight and nutrition data. 3. PHYSICAL RECOVERY TRACKING • Visual Recovery Heatmap: monitor muscle readiness based on localized volume, training effort, and recent load. • Comprehensive stats for PRs, total training volume, consistency, body measurements, and physical vitals. 4. NATIVE HEALTH SYNC • Optional integration to read physical metrics (steps, sleep, pulse) and feed them into your local recovery tracking. • Completely local, secure, and user-controlled. 5. BYOK AI MEAL CAPTURE (Optional) • Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): optional AI meal recognition that runs on your own API key. Disabled by default. • Photo, Barcode and Voice in One View: photograph your plate, let the same screen pick up the barcode of a packaged product, or simply describe the meal by voice. On iPhone models with LiDAR, portion size is measured instead of guessed. • State-Aware Matching: a local "Top-N Fuzzy Alternatives" system integrated with Open Food Facts matches your plate accurately while strictly preventing hallucinations. • 100% Transparent: every AI suggestion is fully reviewable and adjustable before saving. DISCLAIMER: Train Libre is not a medical application. Algorithmic recovery feedback, sleep tracking, and physical vital metrics are intended strictly for personal athletic tracking and training guidance. They do not constitute, and must not replace, professional medical diagnosis or treatment. OPEN SOURCE & OPEN DATA: Built transparently on trusted community catalogs from Open Food Facts and OpenExerciseDB. The full source code is publicly accessible, so our privacy claims can be verified rather than just believed.

Supersets: Join exercises in your routines into supersets, trisets or larger groups. During a workout you alternate between them round by round, and the rest timer only starts after the last exercise of a round. The right fields for every exercise: Log hold time for planks, reps and optional added weight for pull-ups, and assistance for assisted exercises. Previous workout values and charts adapt too. A reworked exercise catalog: The catalog now uses OpenExerciseDB, with more detailed information about muscles and movements and names in your app language. Filter by equipment, difficulty and other details, including while building your routines. Log weight from your diary: Record your weight in the new card below Supplements, with a smooth ruler in kilograms or pounds. Your measurement history opens from the same place. A clearer picture of your progress: Training volume and strength records for bodyweight exercises now account for your logged body weight, added weight increases the load and assistance reduces it. Stretching and mobility exercises no longer count as strength sets.
