VIA finally does it for free on their app
This app was great when VIA didn't offer Passbook tickets, but now that there is a VIA app, this app is no longer necessary. Especially not at $11.99!! There's no reason to buy this app anymore.

Exactly what I needed
I travel on the train much more frequently than flying, and I've wanted a simple way to have my VIA boarding passes accessible on my phone. Despite a number of suggestions to VIA Rail to use Passbook, it hasn't happened yet.
This app fills that gap by easily addimg the boarding pass to Passbook. It is also time and location aware. The passes have worked flawessly so far.
I highly recommend this for anyone who uses VIA Rail on a regular basis!

Works as advertised
This is something Via should provide, but in a pinch this works great.
My one worry was trouble at the gate, but the ticket-taker didn't even blink.

Works perfectly
Once I figured out how to turn the camera on - works really well. Would attribute to my tech clumsy nature. If you ride the train on a regular basis I recommend this app.

Fills the gap that VIA left, and does it nicely.
This app is very easy to use, and the latest update takes away its last problem. It does what VIA can't or won't, and it does it pretty simply.

Quick and easy
Works just as described. If by chance one of your tickets is from a station not yet in the database (as it happened with one of my tickets), email the developer and he adds it quickly, fixing it on the server side. Didn't even have to update the app to get it to work after he added it.

I concur with the previous comment: it does one thing, but it does it well. I didn’t even need to print my boarding pass and scanned the bar code directly from my computer screen. A suggested add-on would be allow the same information gathered for Passbook to be pulled into iCal. Before buying it, I paused and wondered how long it might take for ViaRail to build this functionality into their own website. Then I remembered it is a crown corporation, so I decided to download the app. :-)

It works. It’s great.
The app does one thing, but does it perfectly. I feel like it’s an app from an alternate universe where apps are simpler, have fewer bells and whistles, and instead of monetizing social graphs just cost money to solve problems. I think I like the universe this app is from.

I was skeptical, but I was so sick of having to hunt for the email that I spent the money. So far it has worked perfectly. No Via employees have had any issue with using it, and it scans perfect on their devices.
