Not bad

This app doesn’t record audio, you’ll have to import audio instead. Free version support offline speech to text with a mini local AI model (max file size 5mb), the free model’s quality is not bad. If you want to unlock more power models, or process long audio on cloud, they are behind paywall.

The best free speech to text hands down!

I’ve been looking for a reliable speech transcription app that doesn’t ask me to pay a subscription or buy something to use it, and this is the perfect solution. It transcribes well enough to get the job done, and it does it great. Excellent app, no doubt!

No sound!!!

I can't hear the sound when converting text, only the sound disappears. Return the sound to the application to compare the sound with the text so that we can see what it was converted to. Give me a big discount.

Funktioniert überhaupt nicht - Doesn't work at all

Trotz neuesten Handy & ausreichend Speicher: Abstürze, Transkriptionen werden einfach nicht gemacht, nur Ärger, Rückabwicklung verlangt (5 Tage getestet).

Despite the latest cell phone & sufficient memory: crashes, transcriptions are simply not made, only trouble, cancellation required (tested for 5 days).

Don’t waste your time

Free mode doesn’t work. Setup takes a long time and then you find out it’s paywalled at the end.

Great little software!

I was looking for transcription apps and found this one. Put it on my IPad and it quickly worked to convert via the cloud a 4 min video to text! It was very accurate too. Thanks for this gem!

Just crashes on mobile

Downloaded one of the smallest models after paying for On-Device. Crashes for any and all audio files I attempt to transcribe.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing crashes when attempting to transcribe audio files with the on-device model. On-device transcription requires a certain amount of memory, which might not be available on older devices. I'd like to investigate this issue further to find a solution for you. Please reach out to me directly at feedback@scraibe.app with more details about your device model and the audio files you're trying to transcribe. This will help me better understand the problem and work on resolving it. All the best, Scraibe Developer

Requires $24.99 unlock for large files

Aiko is free and doesn’t have a file limit

Good start but needs to become a share target

good but can't share files from other apps to this app

Response from developer

Hey DoomBlah, thanks for your feedback, I'm happy to let you know that Scraibe now (version 1.2.6) supports importing files from other apps via the "Share" functionality!
