Outdated & glitchy
First, the app looks like it’s at least a decade old. I would rather get something like google translate or papago which is more pleasing to look at.
In this app, there is only two things you can do when translating: type or speak. I wish there was an option to take a picture & translate. A conversation tool would also be really nice to see.
Also, when inside the app, a notification pops up saying “translate pasted from messages”. I hadn’t typed anything yet & no matter how many times I swipe away, the notification will never disappear. Another glitch is that when you try to “share” a phrase like you would share a YouTube video, you can’t back out afterwards. Even though I press “X” to exit, it just freezes and I need to close the app.
Finally, with languages that have more than 1 level of formality, it selects randomly whether the translation will be formal or informal. I wish there were an option to select “formal” or “informal” but even then then, new problems may come up so I don’t blame apps without this feature too much.
