Draft in your own language or select text. Translate with the keyboard, review and edit the result, then insert it. Read screen text by translating a selected screenshot area on iPhone or iPad.
REVIEW BEFORE YOU INSERT
Select text in an input field or write a draft on the keyboard, then tap Translate. Review and edit the result before choosing to insert it. Your input field is not changed automatically, and the keyboard never presses Send.
READ TEXT FROM A SCREENSHOT
Send one screenshot to the app with a Shortcut, select a text area and name its saved position. Reuse it with matching orientation, aspect ratio and layout; switch positions or reselect if the layout changes. Screen Translate setup is explained in the app. No photo-library import, recording, continuous capture, live overlay or real-time translation. Small or hidden text may be misread.
Choose the target and set the source to Auto or select it manually. After text recognition, Auto identifies the source language and checks the direction and model. If uncertain, review the source and specify its language. If a model is missing, prepare it in the main app and retry the same image.
Each completed translation is saved in an on-device history with source text, translation, and time. Search histories, organize them in folders, review them later, or delete them. Images and audio are not saved in history.
INPUT FOR YOUR LANGUAGE
Type directly with layouts and accents for your input language. Japanese: 12-key flick, romaji and kana-kanji conversion; iPad adds a kana grid and compact flick. Korean: two-set syllable input. Chinese: Simplified/Traditional Pinyin with on-device word candidates. Vietnamese: Telex/VNI. Devanagari: character composition. Set display and translation languages separately. Check Apple translation pairs and models on your device.
TRY BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
The app download and ordinary keyboard input are free. Start a 14-day trial in the app to try both features. If you used it and lack screen access, choose a 7-day screen-only trial. Neither trial charges automatically. Typing, settings, source-text recovery, screen regions, saved histories, and Restore Purchases remain available after expiry.
SHORT REPLIES AND LONG DRAFTS
Keep paragraphs and line breaks while translating source text up to the equivalent of 10,000 characters. Some characters may reach the data-size limit first. Keyboard translation access covers selected text, drafts, and handoff to the main app when needed.
USE iOS DICTATION
Dictate with the standard iOS keyboard, review and select the finished text, then switch to Translation Keyboard. Its explicit import action can move a short, safely detected result into a draft. This app has no dedicated recording screen. Dictation availability depends on your iOS settings, device, and language.
YOUR TEXT STAYS OFF TRANSLATION SERVERS
Text recognition and translation use supported Apple on-device features. Source text and translations are not sent to a developer server or third-party translation service. There are no ads or third-party analytics SDKs. Ordinary typing and direct keyboard translation with active access work without Full Access. Sharing settings and handing text between the main app and keyboard require Full Access.
ONE-TIME PURCHASES AND BUNDLE
Buy keyboard translation, screen translation, or a discounted bundle for both. Regular standalone owners can add the other at a discounted price. The add-on permanently unlocks its feature and can be restored. Existing Pro owners keep both. No subscription. Restore on supported devices with the same Apple Account. No Family Sharing. See current regional prices in the app and Apple's purchase confirmation.
Requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Available languages and models depend on your device and OS. Preparing models may require an internet connection. Third-party keyboards are unavailable in secure text fields and apps that prohibit them.
