非常抱歉让您付了钱却用不了，这确实是我们的问题。 您当时用的版本依赖联网翻译服务，在国内网络环境下经常连接超时。现在的版本已完全改用 Apple 系统内置的设备端翻译，语言包下载后可离线使用，不再需要连接我们的服务器。 已扣除的费用可以在 reportaproblem.apple.com 用您的 Apple ID 登录申请退款，由 App Store 直接处理。给您造成的损失，我们很抱歉。

Doesn’t work in China
“Request timed out” when I attempt most anything. This includes trying to switch the first input from English. I haven’t found an app that works here in China that can translate from a photo.

Completely fair — that version sent every translation to a remote server, which is exactly what times out on a restricted network. The app now runs on Apple's on-device translation. Download a language pack once and everything works with no connection at all — text, photo, and live camera translation included. Worth another look if you're still travelling there.
