New changes

I have used this app since 2015 and it’s been such a great help I have appreciated it . Today I simply get a new phone and now I’m unable to sign into account . Sad to loose a customer over such a simple thing but guess I’ll be looking for another app as getting our meds on time is an important part of our lives .

I like it

Over all this is a good app for the reasons intended. However it feels like a kids happy app with the sounds, cartoons and cheers. This would be perfect for a child who has had a transplant. In the it does the job it was designed for. Thank you.

Wish this app had been updated…

I decided to switch to another medication tracking app after having major issues signing into my account when I switched phones. Since my transplant 3.5 years ago, I’ve been using this app to try to keep track of my meds and exactly when to take them. There were always a few issues however:

1) that there was never an option to add notes or an option that a med was taken late or simply not marked off on my phone. You miss that hour window to mark in transplant hero that you took your meds when you needed to? Too bad! It will show up as being missed altogether. This also made it impossible to collect any ‘points’ or stars since I observe Shabbat, aka the Jewish sabbath.

2) technical issues with changing your regimen. Certain meds couldn’t be added to the same time period as other medications, even if your medical team approved it. Other medications couldn’t be edited or added.

3) there are situations where medication needs to be changed for just a few doses or times changed due to travel, medical tests, etc. Anyone using this app is using this app to help with the medications and it’s only one aspect of managing your health after getting an organ transplant, so why have these little glitches or barriers in place for patients?

Like many other transplant patients, I manage other chronic health conditions aside from being a transplant recipient. I was never able to add my full regimen as I take it and that annoyed me, along with some of the kitschy ‘advice’ that would pop up when I marked them down as being taken.

No alarm

Alarm works sometimes! And sometimes it doesn’t work!

Not sure anymore

I loved the app thought it was really cute .. but when I log in my pills it tells me I didn’t take them .. and I’m not sure I appreciate an app telling me I will lose my transplant if I don’t take my pills (which I do every single day) honestly I would really change that… create nicer sayings please!

Transplant hero

Still has some problems but a good start on a useful app. I still get the reminders/appointments crashing also having to tuck off the meds is not always possible so it registers as not having taken the medications - however I would not be able to cope as well without this so just needs some fixes to be perfect.

Please fix the login

This was a great simple app, everything worked seemlessly - but I just switched phones and now I can’t login at all. Please could this be looked at urgently. That would be really appreciated.

Could be 5 star with couple of fixes

Need to be able to change alert tone so a missed dose could sound a load alert. Also need to be able to adjust dose to a 2 hour late instead of one hour or make it customizable in settings. Would pay for themselves upgrades

Going with a better app...

I honestly really loved this app and have used it for months. I got tired of being told that I was putting my life at risk if I didn't mark off having taken my meds on the app. Yes, sometimes I'm not at my phone but I take my meds every time... Not having a way to mark that off was pretty annoying. Yes, I get it's an accountability thing but there should a way to mark the difference between late dose, missed dose or one you took when your phone wasn't next to you (I can't have my phone on me at work.)

Also, like most transplant recipients I take meds for other conditions. Some of them require meds twice a week and another one requires them only half the month. Not having those options meant I couldn't add them to my list of meds.

It would be even more helpful if It would let me in...

Gave up on app after many unsuccessful attempts to login. Is there anything else that I can try?

Doesn't work

This app doesn't work. We stop getting alerts and now we can't even log in. We have reached out to the developer multiple times with no response. Don't waste your time with this app!

This is an amazing app for a transplant recipient...I mean HERO!

I am a new kidney transplant recipient (I received my gift on June 8th 2019!) and this app helps remind me not only of the times to take my anti-rejection medication/regular meds (I never forget to take them, just need to know the times) but also of the importance of taking them, by telling you that “Your transplant loves medication” and things of that nature. And it’s cute because it also gives you little rewards for taking them consistently! It also has within the list of its medication in the app, all of the popular transplant medications, including the new one, Envarsus, which thanks to the app, I now take AND its working well for me! Thanks Transplant Hero! This app is a God-send! ♻️💚♻️💚

Needs upgrading.

This app doesn’t utilize features present in most modern time tracking apps or calendars. Can not schedule meds for every other day, or for only Saturday for instance. Can’t set your standard pill taking times, rather you must edit each one. Can start and stop meds for a day or two if necessary, like in a hospitalization. There is no access for caregivers to update or change meds. It just needs some upgrading. It’s actually far too simple, not for complicated medication situations like transplant patients need.

Something missing...

This is a great app and a lovely way to remind us of the significance of the gift we have been given. The tips are useful and even though this is my 2nd transplant, I still need the odd reminder.
I love that I can be reminded to take pills every other day but I have a weekly tablet and there is nowhere for me to put that. THAT is the one I need to be reminded of most.
Would be perfect if you could allow for the weekly meds or injections.
Fabulous app otherwise 😊

Noelsie

I’d give this app 5 stars if it would let you tick off the medications when you want to. So many times I’m not able to get to my phone when the alarm goes off but I still take the meds on time. Very frustrating as it looks like I haven’t taken them.

Great app

Simple and easy to use. Like the alarms. Great for transplant patients dealing with the sea of pills. This with a pill box works well.

Not for the organized

This app would be great if I was retired or a person who is at home recovering. Being back at work, I rarely have my phone on me. My Apple Watch notifies me with my alarm that it is pill time, but the app won’t let me trigger that I took them - only dismiss the notification. I am unable to get awards because I don’t say I take my noon pills even when I do.

Not cool

So I got the app. Got as far as chhping that I’m a transplant guardian. It then asks for a code to put in that they would email me... but it never asked me for my e-mail!!! There is NO WHERE to click to get help! Where exactly does this verification code get emailed to? Not cool

Needs the ability to override timing

I was very happy with this app until I took my meds and went into a meeting. Since I did not have my phone on me it read that I missed the meds. Then when I tried to manually adjust it I lost days of progress awards. Talk about frustrating. It is a good app - it just needs some modifications for real life situations.

Fun way to track meds

I like the app a lot. I like that I get to check off the meds I’m taking, and I like that their is an option to set up care givers so their is someone else to keep track I’m case I forget my meds. I like to be rewarded for taking my meds on time. I just wish their were more rewards.
