LOVE this app

I am a Cantor and guitar player at church, and did masses solo for years. Now I have a young I piano player and a few singers to join in. I use some contemporary Christian songs and I only have the words and the guitar chords. I use this app to transpose to piano when I have a song that requires a capo. It works superbly!! I’ve used this app for about 7 years+. I don’t like or use any other app.

FAQ

What does the Transposing Helper app do?

The Transposing Helper app allows you to easily change the musical key of a song. It helps you find new chord progressions when the original ones are too difficult or when the song's tune is outside your comfortable vocal range.

How does the app help guitarists with capos?

For guitarists, the app simplifies using a capo. For example, if you want to transpose from Eb to D, the app indicates you can play in D with a capo on the 1st fret, making it easier to find the correct fingering.

Is the Transposing Helper app free to use?

Yes, the Transposing Helper app is completely free to use. It does not have any in-app purchases or advertisements, offering a straightforward experience for musicians.

How do I use the app to transpose chords?

To transpose chords, you use the smaller and larger wheels. Turn the smaller wheel to your original key and the larger wheel to your desired key. The app will then show you the corresponding transposed chords for your progression.

What kind of musical notation does the app support?

The app supports standard chord notation and allows you to include modifiers like 'm', 'm7', and 'sus4' behind bass notes when writing down your chord progressions.
