About
Travel-Tracker records the route of your travels — automatically, battery-friendly, and completely private.
Start a recording, put your phone away, and enjoy the trip. Travel-Tracker keeps logging your position in the background, even when the app is closed or the screen is locked. When you're done, your route is waiting for you on a map.
HOW IT WORKS
Travel-Tracker uses Apple's significant-location-change service instead of continuous GPS. Your phone only wakes up when you've actually moved a meaningful distance (typically around 500 m). That makes recordings extremely light on your battery — ideal for road trips, train journeys, hikes, and multi-day travels where a conventional GPS tracker would drain your phone by lunchtime.
FEATURES
• One-tap recording: start a new travel with a single tap, stop it the same way
• Background tracking: keeps recording while the app is closed or the phone is locked
• Automatic resume: recording survives restarts — the system relaunches Travel-Tracker as you move
• Map view: see the recorded route of every travel, with start and end markers
• GPX export: share any travel as a standard GPX file for use in other apps and services
• Travel list: all your trips with title and dates, editable titles, swipe to delete
• Localized in English and German
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
All recordings are stored only on your device. No account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking of you — the only thing tracked is your route, and it never leaves your phone unless you export it.
GOOD TO KNOW
Travel-Tracker is designed for the big picture of a journey, not for precision sports tracking. It records a point every few hundred meters to keep battery use minimal — for lap times and pace analysis, a dedicated fitness app is the better choice.
Travel-Tracker requires "Always" location access so it can keep recording while the app isn't open. You stay in control: recording only happens between pressing Start and Stop.
