The app crashed while using it once, I haven’t been able to open it since.

Great app for answering travel questions
This is great for recommendations and answering questions like: “will I be comfortable traveling alone as a woman?” “what’s the best area to stay?” “Where’s a good place to go dancing?” All those travel questions and recommendations I always wanted!

A good travel resource
Travelstoke is a great travel resource. You can search for any city and find great local spots, places to eat, etc. Another cool feature of this app is that you can connect with people from all over the world. Be sure to check out the lists for local guides!
Great Travel App
This app is an easy to use and a helpful tool for exploring fun new spots! I’m able to find great places to camp, local foods, and attractions wherever I am in the world. The app also connects me with fellow travelers. It’s the perfect travel app!!!!!
App freezes often
Moving between menu items at the bottom of the screen is delayed, by 2-6 seconds. App freezes as well- I’m running up to date iOS on my iPhone 8 Plus on Verizon. Lmk if bugs are fixed :)
Most authentic travel app
Travelstoke is a cut above the other travel apps out there. Locals provide real information and users can ask questions, engage with the community and get great recommendations. The community is supportive and engaging. I’ve scoured and posted in a lot of different apps and forums while planning trips, but travelstoke is now going to be my first stop.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this app and it’s been a great way to meet and talk to new people. It’s still young, yes but I’m looking forward to more people joining and participating. It’s nice to be in a place and not have to read the same guidebooks everyone is reading and just open the app to see what’s around you if you’re more spontaneous. Or make lists of must sees months ahead of time for the planners.

Great app for connecting people
Great app to actually connect with other travelers or locals! It’s better than just reading travel sites because you can ask questions of folks who either live there or have visited. Good to use in conjunction with the actual Matador Network website. I wish there were more users on the app to give more advice but it seems like the user base is growing so excited to keep connecting with people. In a short time I’ve already received great advice from locals for trips to Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and several US cities recently.
A few more updates with functionality and a little more integration with the matador network site and it’s a 5 out of 5!

Networking On the Go for Travelers
I used to love Couchsurfing back in the day for the ability to connect with locals and other travelers. Travelstoke reminds me of the golden years of Couchsurfing. It also offers a neat way to document your travels through adding spots and creating themed lists with pictures and hashtags.
Whether you are using it as a journaling tool or are following tips about off the beaten track spots from other travelers, this app can open some very interesting doors!

There aren't any really meaningful recommendations from locals, it's really just people who have been tourists in places leaving their tourist pictures as their "insider review." I haven't seen anything out of the normy trip advisor top 10, absolutely no "new" spots just hyped ones as a local you know (to avoid). What bothers me is that you can't just comment on a place that you love you've been to if you're a local, you have to share your own photo which is weird I wouldn't want to upload a personal pic just to rec a place.
As an off the beaten path person i found nothing new here, just a disappointment and users asking for basic advice they could find anywhere but everyone with the app in the area gets an urgent question: "Best use of a weekend in town??" Really. You couldn't figure that one out? My fault thinking i'd find actually insightful new adventures from a travel app...the only way to do that is in the real world!! Delete the app and ask a local, live your life!

Great way to get advice and meet locals
Really enjoyed discovering cool new places when traveling and while at home. Especially like the ability to ask the community questions on places I want to travel. The trips feature is a nice way to plan and then document your adventures. Overall really love the awesome community of travels on this app!

A great resource
Amongst the wealth of travel apps, Travelstoke is one that posesses a really interesting community of users that share their favorite local spots and provide a way to connect with one another and discover great new spots to visit.
Aside from the obvious benefit of trip planning when one is going to a new or foreign location, I've found that I'm discovering interesting places in my own locale that I've either forgotten about or never knew about and it's been great to learn about them and go visit them.
As the community continues to grow, this is definitely going to become an awesome resource for travelers to have on their phones!
