Can’t make it work at all…

Is there a trick to getting this app to function on an iPhone 15 pro? I have installed and deleted and restarted my phone several times and still all I get is the opening TREAD black title page. Nothing else happens just the black screen with a title and a trail into mountains.

Was hoping to use this app while traveling Hwy 20 through northern cascades.
