What are the diamonds purpose

This game is a part of an app that rewards you for playing. I am a little confused as to why you accumulate diamonds when they have no purpose so that is not Complaint overall pretty fun game, but I donโ€™t know what the purpose of the dinosaurs were they just need to go away.
