Not the Greatest
Just got this app as I am interested in learning more about trees, and maybe it’s a great app outside of the US but in this country, it hardly has many species. No range maps either. I hardly searched the app for 5 mins before realizing species like the Kentucky Coffeetree isn’t on it, only one species of Hickory, I mean why charge money for an app and label it “pro” if it lacks crucial species? I have free apps that offer lots more. I like the general idea of the app, I enjoy the quiz feature, but man do not download this app if you are expecting it to have the information a book would have because it’s far lesser.
Decent app in my opinion, please keep working on it! It has lots of potential just isn’t there right now!

Exactly what I wanted
Well worth the $6. Great app and well designed with high ease of use and great descriptions.
App ist "blind"
Völlig daneben. Üblicherweise kauft sich der Interessent eine solche Applikation, um damit Baumarten und sonstiges Gehölz identifizieren zur können. Selbst einfachste Stämme mit markanter Rinde werden hier jedoch nicht erkannt. Die App wird offenbar auch nicht mehr supportet. Alles in allem eine Enttäuschung.

Excellent App
Since purchasing this app, I have spent the last hour exploring it. It is a very good app, easy to navigate and full of great photos and information.
The one drawback I have noticed so far is it has no range maps. But it does have links to Google and Flickr for more photos, and a link to Wikipedia for even more information, including range maps. A nice touch.
Of the 16 ratings indicated, only three appear, complaining that it’s all in German. These complaints are from four years ago. It’s not an issue now. In fact this app is offered in a multitude of languages.
I would guess the rating system is inaccurate and not working properly. Only 16 ratings in four years, and three of those are showing, and all negative. The app creators should check into it. This is a good app and that is not being recognized.

Kauf nur aus zwei Gründen:
1. Ich laufe durch den Wald und sehe ein Blatt auf dem Boden und möchte wissen zu welchem Baum es gehört. Dazu mache ich ein Foto und ein Algorithmus in der App bestimmt mir den Baum
—> Diese Funktion wird leider nicht angeboten
2. Ich suche nach Informationen zum Kastanienbaum, finde aber keine.
Auch bei Nadelbäumen werde ich nicht fündig.
—> Die Suchfunktion müsst inversiv möglich sein wie bei Google.
3. Für viele Funktionen muss man sich registrieren und seine Sichtungen teilen. Ich erkenne hier keinen Mehrwert und möchte die dediziert für mich nutzen und nicht irgendwas teilen.
Vermutlich nutzen die vielen zufriedenen User die App anders, ich werde sie wieder deinstallieren, werde bei Wikipedia fündiger.
Eventuell stoße ich auch noch auf eine App, die diesen Erwartungen aus Usersicht entsprechen.

Hübsch aber zu wenig Inhalt
Aussehen und Bedienung toll, für eine Kaufapp aber inhaltlich deutlich zu wenig.
Für den Preis darf man wirklich mehr erwarten.
Auch die Community, die bei der Bestimmung angeblich helfen soll, sieht so aus, dass ganz viele Fragen eingestellt werden, aber so gut wie nichts beantwortet wird.
Dann lieber mal kurz die Webseite baumkunde.de aufrufen. Braucht zwar eine Online Verbindung, kann aber deutlich mehr
