Seemed like a cool app
However there are so many adds you can’t even get to the login/sign up button. Google will just have to do as far as finding things to do while traveling.
Defunct
I should have checked the last update date before downloading. It’s just ads now and should be removed from the store. Bummer, since I really would love a kid-centric travel app that highlights quality activities.
What's the point?
Use the Trekaroo web site a lot, so I thought maybe the app might be useful. Never got past the login screen. Why on earth would they force you to create an account to use an app to access the same content that's available through their web site without needing an account? Dumb.
Interesting idea but not date specific
Basically this app gives you a list (or map) of local area events. Unfortunately it doesn't distinguish events by date and so lists all events that ever happened in a given location vs actually providing detail on what's on now. So if you want to know that Seattle has a tree lighting ceremony in December (when it's now January) then this app is for you... Renders the app largely useless for its stated purpose.

Love it!
I downloaded this app a while ago and love it. I use it at home and on the go. I love the nearby activities tab and have found some awesome parks I didn't know about.
I love that it also has reviews for hotels and restaurants that focus on whether they are good for families.
This is definitely one of the better free apps I have.

Every parent should download this app!
Love the personalized guides feature. I can plan a trip using the reviewed activities, restaurants, and hotels and access my trip guide from my phone. Love how easy it is to get advice from other parents using the Trekaroo app. Sharing my great finds was also super easy.

I was impressed with how many activities and reviews were in my own local area. The kids and I will be putting this app to good use.

It's so useful on vacations!
We used it on the way up to Yosemite to plan our visit. It was great to read about all the sites we were planning to see and bookmark them for easy access once we were in the park. We also researched the available eateries and planned our meals. Now we're using it to plan our upcoming trip to Oahu.

Great for On-the-go families.
I love the "what's nearby feature" to see cool places to visit with kiddos from wherever you are at the time. Also nice to track where you've been and even start reviews! Will be using this app again and again.

This app is awesome! It's so easy to find kid friendly locations whenever I'm out of town! I love that I can get advice from other parents who've been to these places and have checked them out before me. I have confidence, that my family and I will have a good time, or that we'll know which places to avoid, so spending money is easier!

Best App for Families
I've tried many family travel apps. Trekaroo is the best for my needs. I can find nearby things and view suggestions from real families. It seems to have a very active user base which is why I rate it 5 stars. I know reviews and ratings are from many families and not just one author. Love it!
