Basic viewer
Clean basic application for compatible cameras. Some options / features weren’t immediately evident like long press to edit camera information, although am generally pleased with its functionality for its intended release. Curious what other features I may yet discover. Sorting added cameras may be a means of planning.

Doesn’t even work
TRENDnet camera not controllable
This app will not turn on or off the camera night vision illumination or control b/w vs color. No pan tilt or zoom. Very limited.

I have an older TrendNet NVR, a TV-NVR2208, and everything works fine. Setup was quick, just entered the IP address,user name, and password for the NVR and it shows live views from every camera connected to that NVR. It’s a lot quicker than accessing the live view from the NVR’s web interface.

I don’t understand why I can only get five of eight cameras working all my settings are identical all cameras are identical but the app will not communicate with three cameras

App bug
To continue viewing cameras while away from home network one must connect to the camera ( or dvr) while on home network and never close the app. Once the app is closed it is not able to reconnect while not on home network.

If you have Trendnet IP cameras, it just works, no fancy options but good viewer

Supports just a few now. None that I have. Bye bye TRENDnet I’m over you.
This app is terrible
We have the Trendnet cameras for our kids
Was using the Trendnet cloud app and got a notice that we have to upgrade to this app by dec 31st 2020.
More like a downgrade. We can’t play music or use the microphone like we use to and cannot view the cameras once off the wifi.
This app is terrible and I will be looking at other products from a different company.

Not trendnet tv-ip862ic Compatible
I received a notification that TRENDnet Cloud will be discontinued Dec 31,2020 and I should use this app.
While the new version finally detects my camera it only shows a snapshot and does not stream. It gives a “ tv-ip862ic Disconnected” error.
PTZ Controls do seem to work but no live streaming.
Please make trendnet tv-ip862ic compatible.

TRENDnet NVR & Camera access
App is not too bad providing you get security setup on your router . Http 80 and RTSP 554. Using TV-NVR408 with various 1080p cameras from TRENDnet .
Some app updates but lacking features updates . Picture quality and reliability is good for me , takes some tweaking of cameras, check support FAQ.
Picture and video save don’t work and crash on IPhone X
How about FTP or OneDrive support ?
Not so much app related , but for developers . Why do your camera browser interfaces only support IE with plugins? Html5 , chrome or Edge support .

Mobile app dev is hard
But this app just isn’t ready
I found luxriot EVO app worked with Trendnet EVO server, can see archive as well as live view. I’m now happy. Trendnet cameras are great btw

Cannot view recorded video
Useless TRENDnet security and this app, can only view live video, cannot check or view recorded video
Software could be better
If I knew what a poor app experience I'd be getting, I would not have purchased the Trend security cameras. Problems with every version. The latest version crashes every time I try to take a picture. Fix coming, I hope.
Pathetic Technical support
I have a problem. I’m in network engineer by training, and I know a thing or two about where the problem lies. However, the only actual support you have is by telephone call to someone in India. The technical support person did not know what a Macintosh was. Even after I explained it was the computer made by Apple.
Every single link on this page that goes to support send you to a generic Trenet help website. The first thing you need to do is put in your operating system – – there is no iOS in any of the pop ups. The second thing you do need to do is put in your unit and serial number. I have 30 cameras. Whenever I put one of those in I get support for that specific camera not for the iOS application
After three hours on the phone now with the only phone number, the technical support person has admitted that they are in over their head. His first suggestion was that I undo the two weeks of wiring and all three cameras and send them back to him. Finally after a lot of discussion he escalated me to level to technical support. They’re supposed to Call me back in six hours.
Do not buy any equipment from these people if you are using anything on an Apple platform.

Works great!
I have 8 cameras plus a DVR and like to see what’s up when I’m not home.. this app works great... it is simple, powerful yet reliable. I work with a lot of technologies I’m not sure what these other people are whining about.
Doesn’t support all TRENDnet cameras
We need this app to support old models. The old App doesn’t work with the new version of iOS. So I don’t get to see my cameras anymore.
