What's New in TrialHound
1.2
October 19, 2026
Finding a trial is now the first thing you see. This update rebuilds TrialHound around the trial search, with four simple tabs and one home for everything you save. Getting started • A new first screen asks where to look for trials. Type a city, state or ZIP, use your location, or browse all trials on the map. • Have a dog on record? Tap Find my dog to look it up right away. • Four simple tabs: Trials, Saved, Community and My Pack. Your profile, followers and QR code now live on your Me page in My Pack. • A few short tips show up as you go, in place of the old walkthrough. Trials • The map opens where you chose to look and remembers it. • The list follows the map: move or zoom and it shows the trials in view. Signed in, you can switch to a driving radius instead. • Tap My trials to see only your trials on the map, by status: saved, entered, accepted, waitlisted or past. • Tap Instructors to see scent work instructors near you in place of trials. • AKC trials where no dog qualified now say so, instead of waiting on results. Saved • Saved is now Trials, Searches and Following, each with its own search box. • See your trials as a list, a calendar or a map. The calendar marks each trial day with a colored dot for its status. • Add your entry to any saved trial: choose your dog, the level and the status. NACSW trials offer only the levels your dog is eligible for. • Your entry shows right on the trial card, and a trial you're entered in stays in Saved, so it can't be removed by accident. • Saved searches show how many new matches are waiting. • Everything you follow in one place: dogs, handlers, hosts, locations and officials. Community • Search by a dog's name, a handler, or a NACSW or AKC registration number. Posts, dogs and handlers show together, and you can follow right from the results. • Likes now say what they're for: cheers for entries, congratulations for titles. • New profile and banner photos show up in the feed. • Times are spelled out, like "6 minutes ago", and anything older than a week shows its date. • Your own dog's posts and photos have a three-dot menu to share, hide from everyone or report an error. • Community has its own updates list for new follows and likes. My Pack • TrialTracker now lists the upcoming trials your dog is entered in. • Each run's summary starts with how it felt, in its color. • Dogs in training get a shortcut to Novice trials and ORTs near you. • The Updates bell gathers follows, likes, alerts and messages from TrialHound in one list. All around the app • Bigger buttons and tap areas, so taps land the first time. • Lots of smaller fixes and polish.
