Social without the social media
I joined this group after being invited for a gardening tribe and it’s been refreshing! It’s nice to have a space that feels less like the big social media outlets and it’s real people with similar interests. It’s been a wonderful source of support and information. Pretty neat idea!
Great way to meet people with similar interests
I work from home for a company halfway across the country. Because of my work situation, I find it difficult to meet new people, particularly those who live nearby with similar interests. Enter Tribe. I was originally invited via a the Bay Area subreddit. Now that I’m on Tribe I’ve met about a dozen people who are local to me and like to hike. I’ve done 4 hikes with the group so far.

Well designed
One of the most thoughtful apps I've played with. Every interaction, every detail, everything about how it's used and put together is really thoughtful and well done.
Find your people
Better and more intimate where you can have real conversations relative to other social media - feels like the early days of Clubhouse but with more staying power / persistence
Intimate and community-focused
Been using Tribe lately to talk through immigration issues with other practitioners and it’s a massive upgrade from old listservs. No fluff or self-promotion—just people talking shop. The built-in AI tool has also been very useful for cutting through long updates.
