Too many Advertisements

I pay for a subscription but there are FULL page ads in the articles. Apparently I can pay even more for an ad free version. I don’t get it? Why am I paying such a high subscription price only to have to pay even MORE for no ads? Maybe if they were smaller but full page video advertisements are just annoying (the latest one was for an E-cigarette!!). A complete con!
