About
Tributary -Merge Playlist- brings several Apple Music playlists into one deduplicated flow you can keep in sync.
Pick the playlists you want together — workout, focus, late-night, whatever. Tributary folds duplicate songs into one and writes the result back to your Apple Music library as a brand-new playlist.
It does not stop after the first merge. When your sources change, Sync Now refreshes the same destination. Sync All flows every change into all the merged playlists you manage.
NO DATA COLLECTED
• No accounts, no sign-up
• No third-party analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK
• All processing happens on your device
• Talks to Apple Music only — no developer-controlled server
KEY FEATURES
• Merge any number of your Apple Music playlists into one
• Create multiple merged playlists, each with its own combination of sources
• Automatic deduplication — the same track in two playlists stays a single entry
• Read-only on your sources; only destination playlists are created or updated
• One-tap Sync Now per playlist, or Sync All to refresh everything at once
• Tracks removed from your sources are removed from the merged playlist on sync
• Track order options: original, alphabetical, or shuffle
• Rename merged playlists and open them directly in Apple Music
• A badge shows when sources have changed since your last sync
• Native iOS app built on MusicKit and SwiftData
REQUIREMENTS
• iOS 17.0 or later
• Active Apple Music subscription (required to create and modify playlists in your library)
• Apple Music permission granted on first launch
LIMITS
• Apple Music caps any single playlist at 10,000 tracks; surplus is reported as a warning
• Tracks not in the Apple Music catalog (e.g. local uploads) are skipped with a warning
• When tracks disappear from your sources, the sync rewrites the merged playlist in full to drop them (Apple's MusicKit offers no per-track removal)
