About
Tributary -Merge Playlist- unifies several of your Apple Music playlists into a single, deduplicated playlist that lives in your Apple Music library.
Pick the playlists you want to combine — workout, focus, late-night, whatever. Tributary pulls in their tracks, removes duplicates automatically, and writes the result back to Apple Music as a brand-new playlist. The next time you sync, the same destination playlist refreshes in one tap.
KEY FEATURES
- Merge any number of your Apple Music playlists into one
- Automatic deduplication — the same track in two playlists stays a single entry
- Read-only on your source playlists; only the destination playlist is created
- Duplicates Only view to see what overlaps across your sources
- One-tap Sync Now to refresh the merged playlist later
- Native iOS app built on MusicKit and SwiftData
PRIVACY-FIRST
- No accounts, no sign-up
- No third-party analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK
- All processing happens on your device
- Talks to Apple Music only — no developer-controlled server
REQUIREMENTS
- iOS 17.0 or later
- Active Apple Music subscription (required to create and modify playlists in your library)
- Apple Music permission granted on first launch
LIMITS
- Apple Music caps any single playlist at 10,000 tracks; surplus is reported as a warning
- Tracks not in the Apple Music catalog (e.g. local uploads) are skipped with a warning
- Removing tracks from an existing merged playlist is not yet supported by Apple's MusicKit; on a sync, Tributary can add new tracks but cannot remove ones that disappeared from your sources
