Sound
At first I gave the app a lower score thinking there was a bug since I almost never got any sound in the app. It turns out it was user error. If the phone is set on silent mode the game will not have any sound.
Ironic character choice
My 4 yr old loved it at first. And then a few weeks later, she stop playing it. I asked why and she said she’s scared. I bought it because I did think it was a great teaching app, but I did wonder whether characters would scare my kid. Sure enough she developed fear. Out of all cutesy characters out there, why monster/ghost/freaky-one-eye mummy? Why risk it with kids? Otherwise it’s a great app, but since she won’t play it anymore out of fear, it became a useless app now.

Perfect learning tool
My kindergartener loves this game! This morning I caught him playing this on the iPad versus watching a show. I’m always looking for ways to compliment what he is learning in school and this app does just that :)

I was a pre/school and Kindergarten teacher for many years. I am always looking for games for my grands that encourage reading and spelling growth. Games that are fun and encouraging. This one does all that and more .so glad to have found it!

Love this app - except no sound
This is a great app. I used to teach Kindergarten and now I have a grandchild that is in School and she loves to play with the app.
The problem I am having, is there is no sound! It is really bad because we have to guess what different pictures are about before the time runs out. I deleted the app and tried downloading it again but it still doesn't work. I would gladly give 4 stars if the sound worked!
New update- I finally was able to fix the sound. I am giving the app 5 stars! It is one of the best apps for kids in kindergarten and preschool!

I was so happy to be introduced to Tri-Lo Spelling. Knowledge of the CVC syllables, FLoSS words, and initial and final blends are just a few of the skills honed in these interactive games. The repetition, bright colors and auditory, visual, and tactile stimulation are great for retention of these concepts by beginning readers. I highly recommend Trilo Spelling.

I've been looking for fun educational apps to help my daughter with her reading and spelling. She loves Trilo! We play in the car and at home.
Trilo Spelling
This is an excellent app for advanced preschoolers and all K-3 students. Students are entertained by earning puzzle pieces as they complete the spelling activities and it is easy for parents to choose a level for their child that corresponds to to their abilities. As a teacher I appreciated how the levels were tied to teaching standards.....love the emphasis on phonics.........kids just seemed to find it fun.

A great way to learn
This is a great way for kids to learn words and to start reading. The graphics are engaging and entertaining. It is very easy to understand and to play. Would recommend for preschool and young schoolers.
