Excellent & Useful
Great app. Especially during holidays and inclement weather! In extreme cold some cameras are inactive, but for the most part you can get a good idea of traffic flow by using! My go to app for winter travel.
Indiana traffic camera site is better
Tennessee needs to take notes from Indiana. Their cameras are better resolution and they put dash cams on all the snow plows and make that footage available.

I check the interstate cameras several times a day. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve avoided being caught in traffic jams. Love those things!!!
Should name the app with the state.
The app is a great idea however it is quite frustrating for it to be the first app to pop up, but does not stay in the name that it is only for Tennessee.

Quick and easy to follow
Best traffic app I’ve ever used.
I never travel the highways without checking the app first. It’s a great traffic app.

Good- WHEN the camera feeds populate.
Camera feeds don’t populate, and weeks pass with no fix for the problem. App is useless if we can’t see the camera feeds.
No road closure updates
After 4 days of flooding and tornadoes, there are no listing of road closures on State Roads. TDOT smartway website has same cameras and more updates road closures. Uninstalled.
Not so great
All I see is a bunch of colored lines , yellow, red . I do not see any camera views at all

Many don’t load . The system or software seems dated. This could and would such a valuable tool for travelers in our state. I would love to know how much money of us taxpayers goes toward this dismal system.
Knoxville’s Heavier Traffic.
Traffic in Knoxville, Tennessee has increased tremendously in the last decade. A growing area where two interstate highways merge ( I -75 North/ South & I-40 East/West. Truck traffic is huge and the road infrastructure is also rerouted due to the hurricane damage at the TN /NC state line. This app helps me see the road conditions and traffic in real time using the TDOT. cameras .

I would not even consider heading up from Richmond to DC without first checking with this app, and I keep it on during the trip for updates.

Ever considered adding local municipal cameras to the app? Franklin has a bank for example as do several other cities around the state. It could make TriStar traffic a robust one stop traffic cam app!
