I’m just getting started, wish I had known of Troop Sooner. Shareholders have power to make changes.. We all see changes are Needed!

Not usable for mutual funds

It would have been nice before downloading if it had been clear that app was not for use by funds investors.
Developer replied with a nice answer. I’ll give him another star and maybe more after steering implementation of future planned features.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback and trying out Troop— we agree this is a frustrating issue that should have been more clearly communicated to our users. We’ve been actively working through ways to enable pass-through voting of bundled stock products (mutual funds, etc). 💜 The new SEC INDEX Act is calling for passively managed funds to solicit voting instructions from their investors, which would make it much easier for individual investors to have a say, if implemented into law. Stay tuned in the meantime, we are planning to offer this feature soon. 🦍

Great app

Really cool addition to my portfolio- love the idea of joining and starting campaigns on Troop! Shareholder activism is awesome

Glitch when Signing up

Excited to use this app but unfortunately I can’t sign up with an account. Every time I try to enter my email to send a verification code, the text box swipes up and disappears from my screen. I do receive the code but can’t enter it from the app.

Collective power

I didn’t even know shareholder rights were a thing. When shareholders group together, they can help rebalance the power from institutions back to normal everyday people! Troop is the first app that makes this possible. Being able to have a real impact on the direction of companies through collective action is great. It’s cool how it lets you organize with other members.

Great idea. Difficult to use. Bad design.

I love the concept of this app, but I will stop using it for now until the design can be improved. The layout is very confusing. It’s difficult to filter for polls that are relevant to me as a shareholder, as opposed to ones about companies I’ve never heard of. It’s also difficult to filter for polls as opposed to news articles. The voting itself is also confusing- I don’t enjoy the “swipe to vote” format.

Putting my money to work for the planet! 🌱🌎

I recently learned that I could vote with my stocks when I saw an ad for Troop. As a newbie investor, I like how simple it is to connect my Robinhood account right into the Troop app. An added plus of this app is that I can see exactly how much money I have invested into each company in my portfolio, something that is hard to find for me on brokerage account.

I also love seeing how my stock investment can have a direct impact on the companies in my holdings. I think Troop is a great solution to corporate checks and balances, ESPECIALLY with corporate contributions to climate change. This app makes me feel better about investing and where my money is headed. The community feature where I can see the total amount that Troop users have in a certain stock is really cool. We can all work together to make a change 💸

Incredible app with huge potential!

Troop is an app that gives retail investors a voice in companies’ corporate decisions.

- I connected the app to my robinhood brokerage account easily
- It showed me ongoing polls & trending issues for companies
- I was able to vote/comment on polls and issues for companies that I own stock in

The app shows you how much collectively is supporting specific issues which is awesome
- I love the idea of making shareholder accessible for everyday investors.

Look forward to seeing how this app will grow!

collective activism AND investing ?!

i think one of the most interesting things about this app is that it takes investing from ME to WE. its about which companies we want to own and help steward to the moon

super cool to see how others feel about companies im invested in and whats happening that most investors dont know about
