If you have Google maps you pretty much already have this app. Don’t waste your money
USED to be good - don’t get ripped off
I have had this app for several years. It used to be good. Quick notes why it is not so good now.
1-last update was three years ago. Obviously the developer ha stopped work on this app
2-there is no support. All the email addresses for the app and the developer site no longer exist
3-features such as get directions and My Location do not work on the iphone version
4-BUT THEY WILL STILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR NEW MAPS
5-reporting issues like this to Apple is painful. Getting support from Apple is nearly impossible

Thanks for the feedback. We updated the app in June of 2021 and have begun supporting it again.
Need to update the app
The app no longer works with ISO 13.1.3. When you click on the icons on the river the detail does not come up. Wait for them to update their app before buying any rivers or you will be disappointed.
MONEY!!!
This app is not worth it at ALL- you have to pay 5 dollars to look at a map that doesn’t explain much and there’s not as many points as it shows before buying the map- basically your paying for a bad map- if it was free it would be worth it more but 5 dollars worth? NO
Great program
Excellent program. - now able to fish a lot of areas I never knew about - just wished there were more stream

Some things good, some not so good. Mediocre at best. How about more user input to help bolster and refine content, and add new streams?
Terrible Waste of Money
I just paid $4.99 for a fishing map of the Yakima River and there are none of the boat launches shown on the map. Worthless. Update: the developer just responded (1 year later) that all the boat launches are on the map, but when I go to boat launches it only shows 4 of them. Bottom line, this is just a very user unfriendly app and a waste of money.

Sorry you missed it but the Yakima map contains over 10 boat launches. Please search the list of waypoints for the keyword "boat launch".
Useless app
I was curious about this app so I paid for one river map, just to compare it with the detailed paper river access map I already have. The river map by this app is a complete joke! (The free) Google Map is a much better choice. Don't waste your money on this junk. Either buy real river access maps or simply use (offline) Google Map.

Sorry you did not have a good experience with our maps. Most all our maps were created by physically going to a river and marking locations using a handheld GPS. Please let us know what map you found lacking so we can investigate the issue.

Loaded, looked, dumped
Promising description. Provides one demo map. Information presented is not spectacular and not worth $5.99 per map. One map per stream or river. App is only a front and worthless without maps.
Disappointing!!!!
Everything on this app needs to be paid for when on the web it's free! The main river it shows in my location and doesn't even show the boat ramp and parking. Maybe for some others it is useful but I live in a state that has dozens of rivers streams and all for trout with public access and none on this app.

Nothing for the upper Midwest
Seems like it would be a great app, but not much help for people in the Midwest, not much help for me, doesn't include MN and only has two rivers in WI. But, if it includes your state, I'm sure it's a great app for the avid Trout fisher.

You got to pay for the very few maps it does have. Only has a few major rivers and no back streams. Your better off getting the information free from the web.

Great app for unknown rivers
Great app for unknown rivers - gets you parking info and where to fish. The rest is up to you to figure out.
Needs more streams
Some of the best streams in the Tri-State area aren't on the list. West Va has some of the best fishing tributaries and there is nothing on the App for WV fishermen and minimal for Ohio
App needs significant updating
I downloaded this app, and bought maps of the South Platte, the Blue River, and Frying Pan River for a total of $18.
First of all, the "good". The author drove around and found wide spots off the side of the road and simply updated a Google map (or equivalent) and left it at that. Big whoop. He never spent the time to do the things that matter to fisherman. For example, where is Waterton Canyon, Boxwood Gulch, Long Meadow ranch, Tomahawk, Buffalo Peak State Wildlife area, Badger Basin State Wildlife area or Santa Maria Ranch? If you didn't know where those things were at before, you still won't after you buy this app. That's ridiculous. If a map of each watershed such as the Blue River, the South Platte, or the Colorado River, costs $0.99, that would be acceptable. But it doesn't. It costs $6! Each!
Another major problem is that almost all the fishing sites I go to have no Wi-Fi or LTE available. Since TroutMaps are updated over the air, the information i not available when you need it. The author needs to have the Maps stored on the iPad, or iPhone. That's problem was written up by another reviewer months ago, but the problem has never been fixed. Why?
Another problem is when you have the map in anything but the highest magnification, some of the County road names and even major road names don't even appear on the map. Why is that important? Because a lot of places you want to explore fishing is off county roads. And when you are looking at the map at the highest magnification, the detail is so coarse is to be virtually worthless.
A user interface problem is that the app does not default to open one of the Maps you bought, You have to click on Troutstreams, then State, then select from a list of watersheds the one that you've been using all along. That's a minor irritant, but it adds to the irritants I've been mentioning above.
The concept of having digital maps of trout streams is a very interesting one, as long as it provides usable information. But unless the problems are fixed, I am going back to low tech paper maps.

Forgotten App
I think the developer has given up on updates for this app.

App is good at what it does. Desperately needs on board maps. I don't have cell service while in my drift boat and would love to use this app when it matters.
