Absolutely stunning
Puzzles and clues are fantastic, plentiful and logical. The characters are surprisingly endearing, all very individual and each one very engaging in their own way. Whole game - story, graphics, colours, actors voices : everything about it was a delight and I felt sad at the end to leave the characters.

A classic gem of a game
Having migrated from PSone to PC puzzle adventure games back in the day, I somehow missed this little beauty until I spotted it in the App Store. It has beautiful graphics, a solid story and the character voicing is superb (with plenty of in jokes and some adult innuendo). I did have to resort to a walkthrough about halfway through, and tbh the actions to gain “achievements” are a bit superfluous to this version, but I was completely hooked and think it a great shame that there doesn’t appear to be other games of this calibre by the devs.
Don’t miss watching through the credits; yes they’re long so it’s about ten minutes in, for a rather poignant cut scene to wrap the story up.
Played on a 2022 iPad Air without any issues.

Poor
The graphics are quite nice but tiny on a phone, they include what seems to me like a kind of cheat that highlights items of interest, but without this you’d have no idea what you were looking for half the time.
The tiny graphics are exacerbated by a strange decision to waste significant screen space with two vertical icon bars at each end of the screen.
The inventory of items you are carrying suffers from the same issue, the icons are tiny so you have no idea what half the things are unless you can remember them all. There’s no text display to help you.
The game has sound issues and the dialogue often cuts. Restarting the game sometimes fixes it.
The humour mostly falls flat, it’s certainly no monkey island.
The story is vaguely interesting enough to keep you interested, everything just seems poorly implemented compared to many much older games of this genre the developers could have learned from but for whatever reason didn’t.

Beautiful point and click
Don’t miss out on this - all the 1 star reviews are from four years ago when folks weren’t checking their iPad was powerful enough to play. So check that, download and enjoy. It’s a lovely, gentle, immersive point and click. Cheerful graphics and unique styling, and a much-welcomed contrast to the glut of horror games that seem to be the trend for the classic adventure puzzles at the moment. I found this relaxing, the controls were well thought out, and I liked the characters, especially Trude! More please!

…ein wirklich schönes Spiel, wenn es denn mal laufen würde. Stürzt leider ständig ab, mein altes Ipad ist laut store kompatibel, werde aber alle paar Minuten rausgeschmissen. Sehr schade.

I wish I had downloaded it sooner. I’d been put off for a long time because of the reviews, then I finally bought it and I’m so glad I did! There was a section around maybe chapter 2-3 where I was getting worried that the game had been rushed and that it would be downhill from there however by chapter 4 you’re back in Truberbrook and have lots of things to do etc. Either way, I enjoyed every moment of it!

Just bought… same problem than others :-(
I’ve just bought the game. It seems interesting BUT after a while playing, it stops and leave you out of it. You start on the same point you left, but again and again it stops. A message to the authors, please give a REAL solution.

Doesn't work on iPad 10th gen.
„Adventure“ verfehlt, Finger weg!
Trüberbrook sieht im ersten Moment nett aus, aber leider stellt sich schnell der Frust ein. Die Steuerung ist mäßig. Die Story kann nicht überzeugen. Das gesamte Spiel ist zäh. Viele Dinge sind unnötig in die Länge gezogen, damit wenigsten ein bisschen Spielzeit rumkommt. Denn was hier total verfehlt wurde und was mich am meisten enttäuscht hat, waren die Rätsel. Kombinationsmöglichkeiten werden nämlich vorgegeben. Da haben die Entwickler wohl den Sinn von Adventures gar nicht erst verstanden!
Auch nicht schön:
- Sinnlose Zeitschinder, wie die Kellertreppe oder der Aufstieg zum Baumhaus (mit der Steuerung und den Grafikfehlern eher unschön)
- die Karte ist vollkommen nutzlos
- Gegenstände im Inventar können nicht kombiniert und noch nicht mal angeschaut werden
- Hans raucht zwar, sucht aber trotzdem nach Feuer zum Brauen
- in Ritterrüstung scharfe Stromkabel miteinander zu verbinden ist nicht lustig, einem Fuchs einen Stromschlag zu verpassen auch nicht
- wenn die Wirtin ein Telegramm schickt, sollte sie vllt auch so aussehen und nicht einfach weiter Gläser polieren
- wo kommen egtl so plötzlich die ganzen Geräte für den Quantendiskriminator her und dann muss man noch 4 Sachen finden?
- wenn man eine Birne pflückt, landet ein Apfel im Inventar
…
