Fixed Big Time
The patterns are obvious, especially the frequent “Great Escapes”, and end-game turnarounds. My favourite though is when the computer rolls two dice that correspond to both possible places for a blot to occur. Or when you roll 15+ times without getting a four on greater on one die.
I notice network play is noticeably random, no problem.
What I see happening is the computer is a poor player and too often would not win without a dramatic turnaround two rolls before reaching home, and these games are way too frequent. I don’t know and I don’t care how they fix the list of rolls retroactively — but it is probably much less trouble than designing game skills

You can prove for yourself, that the dice are not rigged by (1) looking at the dice list beforehand (right menu, click on the small dice icon) to prove that the dice do not change during a game, and by (2) writing down a game and playing that game again, with the same dice as before, but entered as manual dice. The game will be exactly the same. So cheating is simply not possible, otherwise one of these two tests would fail.

Thank you very much for your friendly review. Your comments on backgammon in general and bias in special are very welcome. Have fun playing!

Creep that created this is a dick
Better than some
Decent - but….
Example: often I’ll take a safe risk after calculating probabilities; i.e., “this is a safe move and it shouldn’t backfire, as the only way this hurts me is if the computer hits a 1 and a 6 on their next roll (1/18 chance).”… only to see that roll happen on the apps next roll, when it would help the app the most. “Ok, sure that happens sometimes”, I think to myself.. My next roll I need an outcome that should have a 50% (or more) hit rate and miss it. Again and again, while the app seems to land the perfect needed roll on its next 5 turns. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t happening time and time again, making it obvious that the app seems to have an “auto screw-you” mode enabled; which legitimately just becomes anger inducing.
Surely there are more realistic versions than this. If this is really how probabilities worked, casinos would go broke.

Rigged Dice
I received your response to my review. That’s a ridiculous response. Im not saying the dice do not change during the game. What I’m saying is the app looks at the scenario of the placement of the checkers and adjusts the dice results to what the game desires. Of course if I played the game again and manually had the dice roll what was done in the previous game the outcome would be the same. To think the results would be different is insane!
My point is the game has logic that rigs the dice roll to be what the programmer has predetermined. If they want the game to be more “exciting”, they will have the dice roll what one entity needs to keep the game exciting.
What a pitiful response you guys provided. You didn’t address the main issue I mentioned. So, here is the question, does your app have code that looks at the position of the checkers to determine the dice rolls or is the roll absolutely random?
I’m interested to hear your reply…..
Fix the dice rolls
By far the best but

Computer Bias
Had the same response from the developer: since I wrote my first review it has actually got worse where I can predict virtually what is going to be thrown for me and for the computer given a particular situation.
I have deleted the app and continue my search for a fair backgammon game.
