About

Two minutes. One true story, told properly. TrueReels is short cinematic documentaries about real events: made as films, in the time it takes a kettle to boil. Every episode opens on the moment that hooks you and ends on the turn that makes the next one impossible to skip. Series run in order, so a subject unfolds like a season. Watch one waiting for a train, or eight on the couch. WHAT YOU'LL WATCH Assassinations solved by chemistry. A lake that killed a valley in a single night. The empire everyone believes collapsed overnight, and what actually fell. Flights that vanished, and the search science they left behind. The glowing miracle product that ate its workers' jaws. Disasters, true crime, the Cold War, the deep ocean, and the very small things that turn out to run the planet. EVERY CLAIM HAS A SOURCE Before a script exists, a fact sheet is assembled from archives, inquiry records, contemporaneous newspapers, published letters and peer-reviewed literature. Every fact has to carry a verbatim quote, and that quote is then located in the page it came from. If it isn't there, the fact is deleted. Narration is checked line by line against the sheet: a line can state a verified fact, or it can be atmosphere, and it is not allowed to be both. Dramatised moments say so. You can check our work. Open Sources & Context on any episode and read the citations behind it. HOW IT WATCHES Full screen, one thumb. Tap right for the next beat, left to go back. Ninety seconds to two minutes an episode. Put a series down and pick it up clean. Continue watching resumes exactly where you stopped. My List keeps the series you found at 1am waiting at lunchtime. Fact cards during playback: the number, the date, the detail, with its source underneath. ALL ACCESS Most series open with a free episode, so you can judge the work before you pay for it. One subscription opens the rest of the catalog, and the library keeps growing. Your attention is not for sale here: there is no advertising in TrueReels. TrueReels All Access is an auto-renewable subscription, available at $4.99 per week, $14.99 per month, or $39.99 per year. The annual plan starts with a 3-day free trial; the weekly and monthly plans do not include a trial. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription before it ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
