About
Just been told to avoid gluten, or milk, or nuts? Starting a new medication or treatment that changes your diet? The first few weeks are the hard part. Every label is a puzzle and every menu is a risk. TrustCrumb is the calm second opinion in your pocket.
Set what you avoid: coeliac and gluten-free, dairy-free, nut and other allergies, low sodium, vegan, halal, keto, pregnancy, chemotherapy, and anything else you want to add. Then check a food, a drink, or a menu and get one answer for each of your selections, with the reason in plain words so you can confirm it on the pack yourself.
Everything is made really clear! If you avoid three things, you get three verdicts, like "Gluten-free: Not safe. Contains barley malt extract and wheat starch." And when a label is unclear, TrustCrumb asks you a yes/no question instead of guessing, to try and make sure you're consuming what you want to.
WHAT IT DOES
- Scan a barcode, or photograph a label, and see a verdict for every one of your selections
- Photograph a restaurant menu to see which dishes are likely OK, which to ask about, and what to ask your waiter
- Browse recipes that fit your preferences, with a custom weekly plan and a shopping list built from them
- Browse real, named products at your local shops to find new items that fit your needs
- When something is not for you, ask for a swap and get an item that is
- Keep a diary of what you had and how you felt, so you can see what sits well with you
- Mark anything that does not sit well with you, and it shows as not safe in every check from then on
- Add your own allergies and custom items, so the list is always yours rather than a fixed set of restrictions or preferences
HONEST ABOUT UNCERTAINTY
A wrong "safe" matters, so TrustCrumb never overclaims. Every verdict shows its reasoning. When a "may contain" warning cannot be confirmed, it says so, and if your allergy is severe it tells you to treat the food as unsafe. Menu checks use softer words than label checks on purpose, because a menu has no ingredient list. Always check the pack yourself; labels change. Every verdict is guidance based on the label information available, not medical advice.
NO JUDGEMENT, EVER
TrustCrumb is not a calorie counter. There are no targets, no scores and no streaks. It supports whatever you have chosen to eat or avoid, and never comments on how much or how often you eat.
