After trying this app, the experience hasn't been the best. Just a lot of old men.

Tell me why I live in Denver with my radius set for 20 miles and I’m getting results in New York. A waste of time, unfortunately.
Completely stopped working
Every photo in the app disappeared. Reinstall didn’t fix.

I just paid for 6 months of this and found out there aren’t guys on here from my area. I contacted them to get my money back. What good is that???
Good start
The app seems to have a really good foundation. It also allows people to express personal beliefs in a setting, where we know that people will not be judgmental, but will be curious..
App not ready
Lots of UI issues like not being able to read the comments left when someone likes a photo. Will check back in 6 months.
Unfortunately very poor dating app
While TruuBlue does deliver in providing a safe space for liberals, progressives and leftists, it is also incredibly troublesome. Firstly, the app is littered with bot accounts. The true Achilles’ heel, however, is the tiny community. I live in the New York City area, but after just 50 swipes of real profiles (and another 50 of bots), the real profiles that are closest to me are women all the way from Chicago. That’s not exactly the most convenient location for me to go on a date.

I couldn’t even make a profile, said it couldn’t verify information and blocked my profile.
A safe zone for progressives
Being able to self-rate one’s stance immigration, climate and universal healthcare, etc. as well as those of other users is what makes this app stand out above other dating apps when it comes to finding and matching with someone where such compatibility is important. The app keeps getting better as grows and expands to include more locations, but in doing so it also has its share of fake accounts. The developer is well aware of this and is actively trying to weed them out. The developer is also very responsive when it comes to issues that arise and you need support and seems very invested and passionate about this project. Progressives out there who’ve had enough of those other apps should definitely download this one!

Just a bad app
Forget whether you can find a match on here—the app is just bad. It crashes every five minutes or so. Messages are inconsistently delivered. Notifications are also inconsistent. The match criteria are also bad. For the last five months I’ve been told there were zero matching profiles for me–as in there is no one that meets my relatively broad preferences.
It’s the sort of app that wants me to give up online dating permanently.

That didn’t take long…
Like pretty much every other dating app, this one is infested with fake profiles. Don’t tell a user that “you can report it”, do the right thing and actually verify them first. Aside from that, it still has other problems like a ridiculously long load time, and a distance filter that doesn’t work.

After 2 weeks the app ran out of users within 150 miles of me.

First-the loading screen takes waaaay to long to load. Why do I have to look at man a woman on a surfboard 🏄? Just skip that and go to the landing page. Second-I have yet to match with someone in Denver even though their profile says they are in Denver. They are “on assignment “. I’m not impressed

Fake Profiles and Bad Filters
I understand this is a new app, but given the claim of using AI and intuitive matching algorithms, I am disappointed. I have encountered countless spam/scam accounts, where you can clearly see the pictures are of online models, and the answers are vaguely related to the question or poorly written. Perhaps 75% of all my swipes.
I also understand not many Colorado users may exist here…however, with preferences set to 90 miles, I am mostly encountering New York City or Miami, Florida. My age setting ends at 37, but I’m being given 48-year-olds. Sure, nothing technically wrong…but why not a hard filter?
As a tech engineer, I feel awfully suspicious of this app’s purpose. I am especially surprised the fake profiles exist. Even Tinder isn’t this bad with it.
