Locked Out
Like others here. This app has basically made your router worthless. Technical support is also non existent. Completely locked out.
Can’t log in
The 3 routers have worked great but the app forgot the username and I have been able to log in for years. Foolishly I bought 3 more Taotronics routers to expand coverage in my backyard but the app won’t let me log in. I keep getting a network error when I request the code. I redownloaded the app - same error.

Great for years now can’t access settings
Aug 2024 update… the routers are still functioning but I just checked and I still cannot use the app or adjust settings…and need to add the spare I had put up- but without app access I cannot expand my network or make any changes to it. So, I’m stuck. I guess I need to bite the bullet and buy some other brand even though these seem like great quality since the company has had about a year or so to fix the app and has not done so.

I recently changed and upgraded my internet provider and can finally take advantage of some of the advertised speeds these routers should support… even in 2024, they’d be ok after I spent hundreds on them back in 20, but unfortunately the new internet provider took longer to get to my area than anticipated…but now the app is apparently dead, locking us out of the settings. I recall when I first used it a code was not required and somewhere along the way they made it more secure by having it email you a code- now it doesn’t email you the code, and you are locked out. If they fix the issue and I can adjust settings- seriously, I can’t even turn the router lights on/off anymore without access- I would up the rating…

Cannot get login code for iOS have emailed support plenty of time
The app does not work. Why?
The app does not work. Why does it not work. Is there an alternative app. I have wasted money if the app does not work. Big disappointment. Give me some direction!
Mesh Router App Garbage
App doesn’t even work anymore hence can use the router. Customer support zero feedback. AVOID this company at all costs

Can’t get into app anymore, won’t send a code. This morning my Apple devices couldn’t connect to wifi and taotronics said my password to connect to wifi wasn’t correct….but it is. Unplugged and plugged in router again and system came up and allowed App,e devices to connect. How bad is this! Time for a new mesh router!!

Taotronics got out of the router business and they did not honour warranty obligations. Poor company ethics
App Officially Now Unsupported
I have 4 of these bought in 2021.
I moved house and needed to change the config. To my surprise it’s now impossible to get a login code using this app and this is the ONLY way to configure them.
I have been emailing back and forth with Tao Tronics support and they say that ‘devices have a lifetime’ and the app no longer works and they are out of warranty. They proposed a possible 10% refund if their supervisor approves it.
It’s not a warranty issue because the hardware is absolutely fine. It’s their choice to not support the app which is ridiculous if not illegal because it was sold under false pretences.
Bizarrely this app that I am writing this review on STILL available in the App Store but beware it’s useless as you never get the email back with the code to login and Tao Tronics have acknowledged this is the case.

App stopped working
It doesn’t send verification codes to my email anymore.
My taotronics mesh wifi system stopped working and i need to reset it from the app but it doesn’t let me in because it stopped being able to send verification codes.

App and router not accessible
Just like many others reported the app is currently not accessible due to server issues. Therefore the routers cannot be accessed for maintenance or settings.
Currently they are still working however with no access basically.
Time to shop for a new system.

App Doesn’t Work Anymore
App doesn’t work anymore, type in my email, but code is not sent, can’t get in to use it. I’ve read of others having same issue.

Ich habe dieselbe Erfahrung gemacht wie andere Nutzer. Ich habe die Geräte vor drei Jahren auf eBay gekauft. Bis vor einigen Wochen konnte ich mich in die App einloggen. Jetzt werden nach Eingabe der E-Mail-Adresse keine Verification Codes mehr versandt. Der Support fragt nach der Bestellnummer und ob das Gerät innerhalb der letzten zwölf Monate gekauft wurde. Wenn nicht, gibt es eben keinen Support mehr und es ist kein Zugriff mehr auf die Einstellungen des Roters möglich. Nie wieder werde ich ein Produkt dieses Herstellers kaufen.

Es ist dringend eine neue Version raus. Seit iOS 17 geht das nicht mehr!!!

Ohne App ist der Router nicht mehr konfigurierbar. So etwas sollte verboten werden.
