TTMIK Courses User Reviews

Don’t pay, not worth it

I signed up for a subscription based on what it was advertised to do. Waste of money. The app is horribly organized, and constant emailing you about things outside of the app.

Amazing

I would recommend this if you’re trying to learn Korean. It has very good lessons with pronunciations

They won’t let you cancel recurring subscription STAY AWAY

They are actual scammers. I cancelled my recurring subscription, they confirmed, and then kept charging. I raised the issue with my bank and disputing it at the moment.

Search bar

There is no search bar in the app:(

Some room for better user interface

Really appreciate this resource. Would love if there was more organization to the layout - user interface has room for improvement. For instance, have all videos separated into categories so they are grouped together and not just a long library list. Would also help if you can mark off or archive lessons you don’t want to view or are completed.

Money

Everything is paid there’s no point in getting this app unless you have the money for it

Paying for what?

Update 7/14/2025:I get at least 15 notifications a day from random people in the community and it is annoying that there is no way to toggle this off so that I only get notifications for the actual course videos. This spamming made me silence/turn off all notifications from the app. I am not paying to be harassed.———-I am a paid subscriber yet the videos are just black. There is audio but no actual visual content coming through.

Content great but app experience is pretty bad.

The amount of content is great but for a relatively expensive subscription the App experience is pretty poor.

Please make it so the audio track remains locked in place despite scrolling. Every time I want to read the content and pause the video I have to be scrolling up to pause, back down to read, back up to resume, etc.

I also don’t understand why there isn’t a list/history of videos/lessons you’ve recently watched (or were halfway watching).

a joke

I know that language is all about audio but no video, just a black screen on the app as opposed to actual videos on the site is insane. That and there are no search, filter, or even categories on the app

Amazing Language learning app

안녕하세요 여러분! I hardly ever write reviews. When I went to Korea in 2023, I started learning Korean as a way to show my respect to the people there. I fell in love with the country and have been learning ever since. TTMIK is by far the best learning resource I’ve found and I look at quite a few. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Classes are very easy to follow and explained thoroughly. The staff there is great - check out their YouTube as well if you want a quick preview! 감사합니다!

Not bad but « anywhere anytime » ?

It might be just me but I just can’t find the download button for the courses. It would be nice to practice offline. Also the app is quite disorganised …. Very good potential and the course is a high quality one, but there is more work to be done on the developing side!

TTMiK!

I think this is a great service. For example, if you have the TTMiK “100 verbs” book, then there’s a great listen-and-repeat program that complements that course.

But this is where my small but substantial suggestion arises: I really wish the video could anchor to the top of the screen so I could scroll the written content *under* the video, then I can still easily pause, rewind, etc. while also referencing the written words.

For example, on the verbs list, I might have scrolled far to the bottom of the list but then I need to pause or rewind —so then I have scroll all the way back to the top, hit pause, and then scroll back down to the bottom of the list to read the dialogue.

Thanks for any consideration!

PS: I also have the TTMiK Stories iOS App and it’s great too (in case you were wondering … :-)

Finally

I’ve been wanting for a long time that all the courses that are already on your website would also be available as an app and now it’s finally here. I like it. It could just be a bit organized. So maybe the levels will be shown first like on the website. but otherwise I think its cool so far :)

not very viable, not worth the money

a lot of interactions aren’t native views but just pop up a webview, everything is just a generic eye burning white, the media is just embedded videos and no native playback, you can’t leave the playback view without it cutting off, no progress is tracked on the media either, no library to organize courses, it’s overall a very crude and cheap thrown together piece.

Game changer!

I love the new app - it’s easy to use, it has a community feature that makes me feel less alone in my Korean language journey, and I can now study on my daily commute!

Connexion

For us, who had our subscription linked to our Apple ID, it's impossible to connect via the app or on the new site.😢

More convenient

Finally the web version in app. Being a subscriber on the web, I have two subscriptions to pay now. It would have to be synchronized, it would be better.

Allow Apple ID + Google ID to sign in

I love this company and their content, however I am unable to access this app which would make it more convenient for me to use their content on my phone, since I registered to the website with my Apple ID. Please fix this in an update! Thank you!
