Doesn’t work on Mac
Listed as Mac compatible, but doesn’t load in Ableton, and loads but doesn’t work (keyboard input inactive) in Logic.
Not sure what happened, but it’s trying to make me pay again!?
Hi, I don’t know what exactly happened, but I went to check manually for an update, because the app has been glitching out, becoming unusable, and it seems the store is trying to make me purchase app for a 2nd time..! I’d love to be able to use the app again, but I’ve already paid once, can anyone help?? I’ve only rated 1star due to the situation, if I can get resolved I will, of course, put it at 5 stars where it belongs! (When it’s not trying to charge multiple times for the same app, only updated..)!

I’ve had this app for a while and I keep and for some reason I keep hoping it will work. No matter how many updates it’s had since it’s inception it never works for me. It will play for a second and then it just buffers endlessly regardless of how strong a signal I have or the I can’t get a consistent recording. I’m not really sure what the problem is. It seems like this issue would have been squashed by now.

This seemed promising at first…but its just too glitchy. Youtube probably shut it down…but it doesnt play videos at all anymore.

Worked Great, now not so much
There is one problem that started yesterday. But lets start off Positive. This App has been a game changer. In the shape of sampling, when i hear a song i can sample it that minute. love it. I have not one bad thing to say about this app, everything is great! …. Until yesterday i started to recieve Playback issue errors. Nothing is fixing this, i use a iPad pro 13in with beatmaker3 , also with AUM and no luck. I have deleted TubeAU, re installed, logged into my youtube account. Nothing works. If there is any help please let me know.

Not working at all for me. Air 4.
It works
potential time saver for bringing in YouTube samples. Some areas for improvement include 1, can’t input a YouTube URL, 2, hard to see progress of video timeline, 3, as everyone says must keep applet open or the sound stops, 4, Can log into account but not very useful since unable to browse history. Nonetheless I’ll be using this in my workflow for some projects

Stable for me
This is a great way to grab new samples, load up in AUM, then run Enso or segments sampling a music vid or instrument
Awesome Practice Tool
Generally I use this app for playing backing tracks that I can play over. I’ll plug in to my iPad, dial in a sound using a guitar amp sim app, then I pull up this app on a separate channel in AUM and do a search for what I need to work on (scales styles, etc.).
This has helped my playing improve quite a bit. My use of scales has become more impressive, if I do say so myself, my scale knowledge has expanded very well. Scales I didn’t know how to use I was suddenly figuring out how to use within the context of a song.
If you’re self taught I think you might enjoy this app. If you have some training in music I think this app will help you sharpen your skills.
Other reviews claim it’s buggy but the developer’s been fast to fix those. A bit faster than some people are at fixing their reviews. I use this often and it works great.

Please update. I’m getting a black screen
I have no idea what goes into making an app and the difficulties which could potentially arise, but from my point of view this just doesn’t work! Again! I can’t see or hear any videos, I’m just getting a black screen, again. Please fix this. Thanks

This is an awesome AU for sampling. Commenting for more, thanks for all that you do! Please find a way to sample in Drambo. The audio stops when the plugin window is not open.
No audio when closed
You cannot hear any audio when app is closed in AUM. This needs to be fixed to enable app to continue playing in the background when closed in AUM. You cannot make changes to AUM while the GUI of the app is open. I think this needs to be fixed.

Disappointingly, what it doesn’t do, is play in the background when you switch to another app. Even if you can still hear other sounds sources in AUM. This is also true with Audiobus.
So, yes, you can view YouTube in a resizable box, even if there may be a audio sync issue which I’m still checking. Not entirely obvious controls to highlight video box (touch screen to reveal)
Oh, it also caused a crash in AUM that I haven’t seen before, requiring AUM restart.

Google/YouTube Make it Difficult by Design
Great app, kudos to the developers! Unfortunately Google/YouTube has taken to shaking off all third party apps of this nature by constantly switching up their video playback code. This is likely to be because they want exclusivity. To keep up devs have to adjust their apps to work with the new service.

Stopped working after update
This app is incredible, but unfortunately stopped working after the latest update. I’ve deleted, reinstalled and logged in but all I get is a black screen. I’ll wait patiently for a fix.
