I foolishly paid for premium so that I could use it for a viola - no response other than a text "tune down/tune up" which, when done, did not result in a new reading. Needle immobile. microphone allowed in initial setting.

Really works cool. Nice graphics and easy to use. It also can be used with the Mac Pro...I'm using in mine. Just allow the app to access your mic.
Negative part is the app isn't full unlocked to all instruments and tunings in free version. You need to pay to access those but isn't really very expensive and I guess that it worth.

Infelzimente nao funciona
Amei o layout do app e achei que era exatamente o que precisava, porém, fui surpreendido, infelizmente ele não reconhece o microfone do macbook, não funcioma :(

It’s good when it works, but, having tuned up, seems to freeze almost every time I retune after maybe an hour. After about a week it seems permanently frozen which is annoying as I actually paid for the premium version.
