Still crashing
I love the app but have to restart my iPhone to stop the crash
Great App!
Useful app at sessions. It doesn’t always find the right tune, but I wouldn’t expect it to. The accuracy is pretty darn good though. Really happy the app was finally updated and now works offline! I also like that the app does not collect any personal data…all apps should be that way.
Freezes on use
It appears this app had not been updated in quite some time, and the record/analyze features no longer function.
Glad to see Tunepal is back.
Fantastic tool, and has helped me identify so many tunes that I would have been hopeless in finding otherwise. Not 100% accurate yet but still a magic tool. Thanks so much
Useless
Tunepal is useless if it simply craps out and crashes each time I record and submit a melody played on my mandolin. 99¢ wasted.
Excellent App. but lost Playback Now.
I’ve been using TunePal daily for almost a decade and it has proved incredibly useful for finding tune titles and sharing tunes with other musicians. Just recently, it stopped playing back tunes on my iPhone 12 (iOS18) and any attempts to contact the developer failed to get a response. The App was crashing when I pressed play. His last Facebook post says he is working on a completely new version.
I wanted to try deleting and re-installing the app, but it had disappeared from the App Store for some weeks. Now it’s available again I was able to delete and re-install it (but lost all my saved tune finds) and it’s playing again- Yipee! Thank Brian - brilliant app. Please keep in touch with your fan base, and all will be well.

Abandoned?
No updates in years, and it fails completely on iOS 17.5. It was great while it lasted.
Submitting then shuts down
Love, loved this app. Used it all the time. Now it records, says it is submitting, but then closes with no response. So sad :(
Useless
Just wasted a quid on this. Played it a few really well known tunes as a test and it just said there weren’t enough notes for it to recognise.
Love this app but won’t function for me
This is a great invaluable app. When it worked., but it stopped being able to record to my last iPhone several years ago. I tried u uninstalling but could never get it completely uninstalled. Asked for help several times and got none. On my new iPhone I have the same problem. Can’t seem to uninstall in order to try a fresh version. So sad.

No update for 2024 iPhone 14
This was the BEST app for finding and reviewing Irish music to learn! Now I tried to update but it locked me out of the app and won’t work. I tried sending a message to him on Facebook but can’t because it doesn’t work for people outside of the UK.
Even the apple app support doesn’t work.
GREAT I now have a useless app that I paid for. And there is no way to contact the developer for any kind of assistance.
Hopefully someone will read this and fix this problem.

Doesn’t work
Bought Tunepal for my iPhone (which has over 15GB free and the IOS is up To date). Every time l use the app it falls over and closes. Not happy and definitely do not recommend. Awaiting promised refund (yeah not an expensive app it if it doesn’t work is worth nothing)
Crashing on search
Have always loved using this app, but it now crashes on every search and is unusable.
Doesn’t work at all
This app crashes immediately after recording on my iPhone11. I’d heard of it and known people using it 10 years ago but seems it’s no longer working

Do not buy this. It crashes when submitting. No contact information to ask for a refund. Total scam.

Just purchased this app. Tried to submit two tunes. Message said NSXML error 65. What gives?
Please fix bugs!
It used to work but the last update was 5 years ago. It crashes when I try to record, when I press on the preferences, when I press on the map, when I try to save a tune to my list. Luckily, saving to my list works after I re-open the app, but it had to crash before I can do that. Maybe new iOS upgrades have rendered this app obsolete?

Very good
Thanks so much to the contributors of this app. Very good version of the classic irish tunes with the discography etc. So good to have this library in my pocket to learn new tunes.
