TuneTempo was not built as a profit-seeking product. It is a personal app designed, developed, and maintained by an independent developer who wanted better tools for everyday instrument practice. Every feature is free. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, and no account is required.
Guided, flexible tuning
Follow one string at a time, or choose Auto, Manual, or Chromatic mode to match how you practice. See stabilized pitch, cents offset, signal confidence, A4 calibration, and reference tones together.
5 instrument families, 12 tuning presets
Tune guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and banjo. The 12 presets include Guitar Standard, Drop D, Half Step Down, DADGAD, Open G, 7-string, and 12-string tunings.
A metronome built for repetition
Set Tap Tempo, subdivisions, bar accents, and sound or haptic feedback. Tempo Trainer raises the BPM in steps after the number of bars you choose.
A practical chord library
Use readable diagrams and a left-handed view. Check capo-aware chord names, slash chords, favorites, and progressions without leaving the app.
24-note Chromatic Test
Play 24 target notes at a chosen BPM and check your pitch accuracy. Results, personal best, and tier help you choose the next practice tempo.
Two visual themes
Switch between the Editorial and Cheongyoil themes, including their matching app icons.
Microphone and Record Test
TuneTempo normally processes microphone audio on this device for live pitch detection and does not retain it. If you choose Record Test, the app records and stores up to 60 seconds of raw microphone audio on this device with diagnostic files. The files are not uploaded automatically and remain on this device until you explicitly delete them. Sharing sends copies of the selected files and does not delete the local originals. TuneTempo contains no third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
