Kind of fun!

Update - wow the developer responded and fixed the issues below. Should work well now. I am impressed, and will try it out again.

At an advanced level it shows you a D# and labels it as C# - so which note to okay? I am a violin teacher. I deleted this after reaching the 4th level. Tip- play a long tone for more accurate assessment.

Response from developer

Hi Vlaist — thank you for the generous rating despite the bug, and especially for telling us which note. You were right: the pitch detector's tolerance was loose enough that a D# played slightly off could snap to C# — exactly the wrong behavior for a sight-reading game. It's fixed in the current update: tolerance is tightened so borderline reads get rejected instead of mis-labeled, and we now require a longer steady tone before the note is scored. Your "play a long tone" tip is built right into the game as a "Long bow for accurate read" prompt under each note — you inspired that change directly. If you'd give it another try, we'd love to hear how it works for your students. Thanks for caring enough to write. — Stan, from the TuneWise Team
