Doesn't recognise location, therefore, pointless!
Money added to wallet, can't use the app as it doesn't recognise the location. So have to pay normally all the while the app is now $30 richer and I am that much poorer. Do not get this app.

App does not save an account holder details and has tools for many user name and password. My wife had an account with history and points etc and wanted to update a cc. Although you can add a card you can’t remove one. When I logged out to ‘reset’ the account was not recognised at login or reset password. So had to create a new account and all history points etc are lost.

Maximum 1 account???
Got a new phone, couldn’t log in on it because you can only have one login on each account. Tried logging out of my original phone and then again on my new one - still nothing. Tried logging back in on my old phone, error AGAIN. Tried calling the support number, number does not ring and fails. This is ridiculous

Frustrating App
While Tunnel Carwash in Christchurch provides an excellent wash, their app is a major letdown. It's as if they've gone out of their way to make the digital experience as cumbersome as possible.
Cons:
1. No Apple Pay support: In 2024, this is inexcusable for any payment app.
2. Forced card loading: The app requires you to load your card details, raising serious security concerns.
3. Questionable security: There's no assurance that they're using a reputable provider to manage sensitive financial information.
4. Inconvenient on-site use: Instead of streamlining the process, you have to manually generate a code and type it into the machine when you're there. What's the point of an app if it doesn't save time?
The Tunnel Carwash app manages to be both pointless and frustrating. It adds unnecessary steps to what should be a simple process, completely defeating the purpose of having an app in the first place.
If you enjoy great car washes but also value your time and digital security, stick to traditional payment methods at Tunnel Carwash. The wash itself is worth it, but this app needs a complete overhaul before it's worth downloading.

Doesn’t record usage history.
Poorly thought through and has put me off using them
So this app won’t allow me pay without loading a card. I can’t easily purchase just a card. They won’t sell me a card at the car wash. I mean what a joke!
