Very Dated. Site is still advertising voting for 2020
The title sums it up nicely. I want an app that advertises anti-Trump protests and thought this would be the site for that. When created an account the first activism tile was about registering to vote for the 2020 election. It seems the site makers aren’t interested in keeping their content current so I don’t see how I can learn anything from this app.

I was disappointed to logon for the first time today, June 17, 2024, and see that the latest announcement was posted November, 2023. The version history shown in the Apple App Store says the app was updated one month ago. I guess I’ll check back for a couple weeks and see if anything turns up. Since I entered my location, I don’t think I can see if there are current announcements in other locations.

Too pushy
Starts off asking for email and password — no prob. Next asks for phone number and opt in to sms — nope and nope; allow me first to explore the app and decide if there’s anything I want you to contact me about. Can’t skip this part so app is uninstalling app for being useless.

TurnUp has allowed me to connect with people in a way I had never pictured possible. As a younger activist, I always found it difficult to find coordinated events.. most information was either non-existent or only on some obsolete form of obsolete social media. TurnUp has made activism so much more accessible and social!

Fantastic App
While I primarly have used TurnUp on my iPhone iPad, I have found it to be very user friendly and helpful on Mac, too. I have been able to get involved in many activism events and it is very easy to use.
Best app for activism
This app is great because of how accessible it is to find information on voting and events. The information on the app is very detailed. There’s a lot of information on how to register to vote as well as when elections are. I would definitely recommend this app.

Great app to make change
I am very interested in womens issues and mental health. Knowing that there’s an app where we, especially the youth of our generation can sign up and be a part of change, is comforting and exciting. I recommend for everyone to stand up for what they believe and this app is a wonderful first step in doing just that!

not valuable
tried to look for events nothing in a very popular city (top 5 in population for cities in the us) there’s nothing in the app. the formatting is weird and events feel very sketchy. most of the good reviews left here are by the companies interns in which it is an assigned task to leave a good review on the app
