Casting to TV causes disconnection during ads

Honestly if you watch shows on the app via laptop, ipad or phone directly, it won't be an issue.

The problem starts when casting to the TV - whenever ads come on, it interrupts the casting, shuts the show down, and you have to reconnect and cast it again.

Also happens when rewinding.

Drives me insane lol.

The Chinese people made this app are stupid

Can download episodes but not watch off line, what’s the point?
App unresponsive frequently.
Cannot watch in picture mode, so cannot do other tasks on phone and have it run in the background.

Service is not available in nz

Unlike other streaming services App, the subscription process is very complicated. Thinking of downloading this app and pay by credit card and can activate the subscription and start enjoying the most popular tv show on your device on Sunday night? Not at all. Apparently in Nz, there is a reseller managing the sales and there is lack of information about the whole process. The official link of this reseller on TVB Anywhere official website is a bad link too. I cannot get much information from the reseller website either. I genuinely wish to support the official channel and happy to pay but the process is too difficult. I spent the last hour trying to figure out where i can watch one of the popular tv show but i have to give up. I just want to watch on my computer and phone only. First i thought it would be as easy as Disney plus or Netflix, but its very disappointed that this app is not what i expected.

Service not available in NZ

While in the description mentioned it serving worldwide, it says this service is not available in New Zealand when I try to subscribe within the app. Very disappointing and misleading.

Drama movies

I keep getting ads while watching a show. I paid for a membership not to watch ads!!!! There weren't so many ads before, but now there are tons of ads every time I watch a show.

Sudden jump in ads

This app used to be okay with a few ads here and there, usually one at the beginning of an episode and one at the end. But the issue here is that now - very recently - near the Mid-Autumn festival this year 2025 they have started dropping 6-7 adverts for Wong Wong Moon Cakes. That many for a 40 minute episode. That’s madness! Even Netflixs’ cheapest subscription doesn’t drop that many adverts in one episode. This makes me want to not buy Wong Wong Moon Cakes. Why do this TVB? 為什麼?

Update 24th Jan 2026: so the advert frequency has fallen for sure, however when watching any drama episodes or variety shows, the stream would suddenly blink black and load for 2 seconds before continuing the program, which ruins the immersion. These areas are clearly where the extra ads used to be inserted but were removed following complaints, but instead of smoothing out the streaming process they just took the ads out so the sections would try to load, load nothing and then continue the program. This is very lazy TVB, fix this!

Need SharePlay via FaceTime Support

Currently, our app is available on mobile devices and selected smart TVs, including Samsung and Android TV platforms. Clunky software, needs improvement

Software is clunky, chrome cast is problematic, should improve for better experience for users. Also can you fix The Greed of Man 大時代 episode 37 has no sound.. elderly is unhappy.

Apple TV app required

Apple TV version is required.
The TVB box keeps crashing and hanging.
The TVB app on iOS / iPadOS works perfectly.
Please makes this available on Apple TV, so I can enjoy this service with my family
